Ventura Park Elementary School

I've have nothing but good experiences with the administration, the teachers, the curriculum and seeing the parent student involvement. They offer resources for parents if you need help with food security or preventative health care services for students. The children seem consistently happy both while in class and when doing non learning activities such as lunch and recess. They offer community fairs and dinner nights for the students and their families. Its a shame that others aren't able to see the benefits from the school that I have witnessed firsthand.

My children go to this school, it's a horrible school! The worst I have ever seen! Staff do not care about your children or their safety! Children with special needs will only be victimized and traumatized here! Playground is unsafe with very dangerous metal rebar sticking out of the ground! School smell's horrible and the bathroom's are disgusting and unsanitary! Meal's are horrible and always served cold, children will starve here! Principal Sarah Phillips is hardly ever seen, teacher's are only worried about pay, not your student or learning needs! School nurse is even worse! Let alone the behavioral specialist that will traumatized your child and treat them like a criminal! Menlo Park requires a change and should be monitored and assessed!

This school was an amazing school! I went here from 2019- late 2022! Every teacher was great, they gave a helpful learning environment, and offered many educational resources!

Schools have pivotal roles shaping the future, ensuring safety & fostering growth to our children. Attending Portland Christian Schools at the Jr.Sr.High has laid a new path before our child. To truly understand the impact Portland Christian has had in improving every aspect of our child’s life you would’ve needed to know our history in the public school system. As the new kid the other students were welcoming. She had no problem making friends. She's had no issues being bullied. Their staff takes all issues serious. They don't let situations build up before intervening. I've never felt I was being bothersome when requesting things or asking questions. My child feels emotionally supported when having a down day. She's not trying to stay home anymore. She's trying new sports to be part of the team. She’s the courageous confident kid she was before the pandemic. It’s a true testament as to the dedication of the PCS staff and community. It’s hard to find words to describe our gratitude.

It’s a wonderful school and the priest is amazing and is a great example and very loving and caring environment highly recommended
