7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy two granddaughters attend this school and we have been very happy with the experience. My oldest enjoys the music and art classes and has grown her passion for reading with the AR reading program. The youngest got off to a great start in school and is looking forward to first grade. The staff and principal are involved in the school and participants at activities to show their support. Parent are quick to help the school by volunteering and supporting school activities and classrooms. We considered a private school before the oldest started kindergarten a few years ago but we opted to try public school and we could not be happier. Kudos to the teachers, staff, principal, parents and students at Central Elementary!Parent Review6y ago4 Reviews - Myers Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGod forbid you be a divorcing parent of a student at this school. Teachers will only contact one person the office staff will gossip about you right in front of you. If I could I'd pull my child out of this school without a second thought.Other Review9y ago4 Reviews - Shedeck Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a joke. From the beginning that my child attended this school her first year (Pre-K) was negative. The principal is crap and does absolutely nothing at all. The guidance counselor is a joke. My child went there from Pre-K up to beginning of first grade almost a month ago before we changed schools. My daughter has issues that needed to be addressed and we're over the summer, but even before she was tested, the teachers and staff didn't help her or give her the right kind of support. They just brushed it under the rug and chalked it up to her age and maturity level. Her kindergarten teacher last year just gave up on her, LITERALLY. My daughter was doing counseling from a different service that comes to the school so many times a week and even the counselor saw the teacher gave up on dealing with my child. A few administrative people don't need to be there because they can't do their job right and I feel like are out to target certain families like myself. They lie and my experience has been poorly handled at this school. I think honestly the administration team needs to be replaced in a few areas. I don't recommend this school to any parent. If you live in this district for this school, transfer your child.Parent Review9mo ago13 Reviews - Parkland Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had a wonderful experience at Parkland. Mrs. Johnson is a phenomenal first grade teacher. My daughter says she has "loving words" and that speaks volumes to this mom! Mr. Haggard obviously cares about each student. He is always visible and active with the students; making them feel like he is approachable if ever they needed to talk to him.Parent Review7y ago4 Reviews - Skyview Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family absolutely loves Skyview Elementary! From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel that this school is special. The atmosphere is welcoming, positive, and full of life. Every single teacher and staff member we’ve encountered has been kind, professional, and genuinely dedicated to helping students thrive. What makes it even more meaningful for me is that I actually went to Skyview myself as a kid — and all these years later, it’s amazing to see that the same warmth, pride, and high standards are still very much alive. The school has continued to grow and evolve, but that strong sense of community and care remains the heart of everything they do.My experience at this school has been outstanding. My son comes home every day excited about what he learned. His teachers take the time to make lessons engaging and hands-on, and they always make sure each child feels seen and supported. The communication between teachers and parents is excellent — I always know what’s going on, and I feel included in his learning process. The Skyview community is truly like a family. You can tell that parents, teachers, and staff all share the same goal — giving every student the best education and experience possible. There’s a real sense of teamwork and pride here. Everyone supports one another, whether it’s at school events, drop-off and pick-up, or even just chatting about how the kids are doing. In the classroom, the environment is positive, structured, and full of encouragement. The teachers balance learning and fun perfectly. They make lessons interactive and creative while also teaching respect, responsibility, and confidence. My child feels comfortable asking questions and is motivated to do his best — and that’s because his teachers truly care about his success.Overall, Skyview Elementary is everything you could hope for in a school — strong academics, a supportive community, and teachers who make a lifelong impact. We’re proud to be part of the Skyview family, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly to anyone looking for a school that truly puts kids first!Parent Review9mo ago7 Reviews - St John Nepomuk Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and School is more than just a church or school, it is a home for my family. The staff is caring and compassionate. The principal is very active throughout the school and strives for the best educational environment for our children. My children benefit greatly from the gift of Catholic education. The school consistently involves the students, staff, and parents in serving the community both here in Yukon and throughout the entire city. If you’ve ever thought about investing in the highest quality education for your children, look no further than St. John Nepomuk!Principal Review7y ago2 Reviews - Southwest Covenant School
