Fisher Elementary School

I would not recommend this school even if this is the last school on earth. The people at the school are incompetent. The principal and the assisted principal don't care about the students, especially if their black students.I have a kid that currently goes there.Who constantly get bullied?Who constantly get called racial slurs?And when he reports, it, nothing gets done. The only time something is done is when my kid stands up for him or herself.And then they notify me about what my has done my child is currently suspended because a kid hit him.He told the teacher today the teacher actually decided to do something.The boy hit him again.My kid stood up against the bully but they suspended my kid they also banned me off the premises.Because I go talk to the kids.Parents about the bullying since the school does nothing i don't go off on appearance. I let the parents know what's going on. And ask the parents to tell their kids to keep their hands off my kids. So this school is a joke. They really need to fire the whole staff and start over and then since they banned me from allmore public schools, they made to where I can't enroll my kid in a different school.So if you have african american children do not, I repeat, do not your children into this school. I recently found out I am not the only one they're doing this to. There's other African American parents that I have talked to who went through the same thing, or who's going to do the same thing.So me personally, I am taking legal action.But find a different school.Please find a different school

Kingsgate is an older school in an aging district of Moore schools. The demographics of the area have continually changed over the last 20 years, as all of OKC has. I've never had a problem with my 3 kids attending this school because the staff has always been good. The only issue I have is that some of the students attending are not being well taken care of at home, leading to behavior issues for the teachers and the other students which inevitably affects their learning. I think the faculty of this school does an excellent job with the cards they are dealt. But it's time for me to move out of the area because of a more steep decline recently.

I went to this school and I have to say. This school was amazing, I honestly didn't want to go. When I was at sky ranch, I loved there. The teachers there were amazing. They understood the things I needed help with before I asked for help. Would 100% recommend this school to anyone!

Great school. Student to teacher ratio ranges from 17 to 22 per teacher. Kind and smart teachers. Both of my children excel here.

Absolutely terrible school. The front office is very rude and discriminating towards special needs students. The principal is very condescending, and they will most definitely go against your child’s IEP and will leave them after school for 40 mins without a para educator. They do not take special needs students seriously, and they have the mindset that they have to control kids rather than help than succeed. I do not recommend this school to anyone who has a special needs child.

We have had a great experience until the last two years the first issue was a teacher making fun of my autistic son for rocking (highly inappropriate and unprofessional) and now this year we have op-ed out of a few ridiculous things and now they have decided to punish my child secretly and exclude him from treats and activities not for behavior but our decisions whe we tried to address this issue we were met with disrespect and then ignored something has change here in the last two years the place is full of adult bullies that like to pick on kids for being a little different DO NOT RECOMMEND

My son has been humiliated using corporal punishment in front of other children. He is in 3rd grade and at a high 5th grade reading and math level and is also on an IEP because he has a hard time sitting still. But there is no differentiation for him and they are not accommodating his IEP. My son’s teacher and the counsellor have humiliated my son for not being able to sit still. He is constantly punished and excluded from the normal learning environment instead of accommodating his IEP. The only thing “good” about this school is their test scores. They believe my son should sit still and be quiet all day with no accommodation's or differentiation even though he is 3 grade levels above every bit of curriculum used.

This school came recommended by my sister and I'm so glad we are able to attend! We have had the opportunity to be at the school for over three years now and it has been such a blessing to work with both teacher and staff from preschool, elementary and jr and high school. Each department now has an admin and I think that is very helpful for parents and students to be able to have that communication with us. This is an accredited school and we are excited that they participate with the Oklahoma Parental Tax Credit. We are especially excited for the new campus that has been purchased in Moore. Although it will be farther for us to commute, we will definitely be making the drive so our kids can continue to attend until they graduate. Office staff is amazing and helpful for every need I have requested.
