Read what parents are saying about Carl Albert Middle SchoolWell... There's a lot to say. I'm a junior at CAHS, but i attended the middle school for 6th and part of 7th grade. 8th grade year i went completely online due to the extreme amount of bullying and harassment i was dealing with from other students. If you really want your child to succeed, i would pick a different school in the district. Academically this school is great, it has many electives and extracurricular activities. I would say the staff and teachers could be better. There were few staff members who actually took my mental health and my 504 seriously. Really all i can say is that the staff are extremely... Cronyistic for lack of a better word. Example: I'm not a very popular person in social aspects. I never played sports for the school or did any clubs. i did band for 6th grade, but that was it. Cheer and pom girls as well as football boys were never really punished, even when they did something bad. if I so much as looked at a person the wrong way, I would be given ISR. My sister has an IEP and she receives much of the same treatment i experienced when I went to the middle school. The kids are extremely privileged and they have no remorse or regards to how they can make others feel. I also want to add the amount of money the school tries to suck from the students. It's outrageous! One time the entire school was sitting in the gym to have the principals give us a speech or lecture of some sort, and one of the staff had a proposition that every time you wanted to shoot a basketball you had to pay a dollar. Crazy right? I would just send your child somewhere else honestly. Especially if your child has an IEP or a 504. Staff won't accommodate those kids, and you have to fight them for even a smidge of cooperation.
Posted by a community member on 10/10/2023Each year has been better than the last. I’m very excited to see how the school’s Autism Program continues to grow. The teachers and staff are extremely compassionate and are making positive changes to create a more inclusive environment for students of all abilities.
Posted by a parent on 9/15/2019I wish I never step foot in this school! My brother and sister graduated from CarlAlbert and I never got the chance because of the the two principles at the time.

I've never had any trouble with my kids being bullied and you can just tell all the staff here truly care for the students at this school.Parent Review3y ago - Country Estates Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids are third generation Comets. This year the school did a staffing overhaul from the principal all the way down to the bottom. There is only 1 teacher that started this year with less than 5 years experience. It’s a small country feel type school, everyone knows everyone, excellent racial diversity, and amazing staff. I recommend out of most Mid - Del Elementary schools, even above Soldier Creek.Parent Review1y ago - Soldier Creek Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSoldier Creek is a wonderful school my son is a 3rd generation SC Tiger. The teachers are great and are always looking for fun and creative ways to help their students learn. Communication is always a top priority. The principal is always smiling and happy to speak with parents to help them and their child in anyway. My son has really enjoyed his school.Parent Review3y ago - Steed Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids (PK & K) attended in 2017. As for K class, during the middle of school term, my kid was moved from her original K to another new K class because there were too many students in one class, and they hired a new teacher. How they noticed to parents suddenly by one letter from the principle was really shocking and not really well-organized. As for PK class, there are no individual cubbies for each student. During nap time, students put their heads on their table and sleep. That means no mattress. The school is located near TAFB, so constantly the jets are making loud noise and flying by right above the school.Parent Review5y ago - Harvest Life School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe new principal, Mr. McMullen, is a real blessing to this school! He leads with Christian values and is a strong presence on campus. He possesses extraordinary humility and a love for God and the students that shows every day. He makes himself available to parents and is excellent with frequent, open communication with parents and students. We can’t say enough good things about the positive impact he has had on our kids and the rest of the students in his first semester as principal.Parent Review3mo ago - Midwest City Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are in our 3rd year with OVCA, and couldn't be happier. My students has had tremendous success, and has retained much more than he ever did at Brick and Mortar schools. He shows a passion for learning, and truly enjoys the teachers he has had and the friends he has made. OVCA is truly a great school!Parent Review3y ago
