Adams Elementary School

My kids were attending Coolidge and I quickly took them out because the lack of understanding on the teachers part. My youngest son came home crying daily, so I took them to Garfield.The teachers there are so caring and understanding, they make learning fun and upbeat and my son has loved school ever since and he is a difficult child, but they work with him the best they can. I have seen great progress in him his reading and math skills are excellent now bc of the schools help. My other son is always so good and they never fail to praise him and make him want to strive for success. The principal even personally called me to tell me how good my child was bc in a bad situation he made the right choice, its great they keep the parents involved. Great school I would highly recommend it!

The yearbook was put together by one of the awesome staff members here. She does a great job and we appreciate her so much. We as the PTA try to keep the cost down for families, which is why it's done as it is. We need help this year and would love volunteers. We're always looking for people to help with PTA. The teachers here are so HATEFUL! I’ve overheard them talking about students myself. They are rude to parents and teacher and parent communication is non existent. Ever since the previous principal left this school has gone downhill FAST.

From the Principal to the teachers, and all the staff who make it possible; Taft is a wonderful school! The kids are met each day at the front door with high fives and hugs! The progress and passion the staff shows is unparalleled.

The principal shows an open disregard for the safety and well-being of students with Individual Learning Plan (IEP) and their parents. She is dishonest in "explanations" for sudden changes in IEP adherence, leaving parents of special needs students concerned for their children.

We currently have 3 children enrolled at St. Joe's and one to be enrolled next year. We have been a family there for 7 years now when my oldest attended the 3 year program. We love our school. The academic standards are high as well as a great community. We also love that our faith is not only free to practice but is an extricate part of the education. We are very excited that the school plans to expand into Middle school Nd we look forward to all of our kids attending as long as they can.
