I volunteered at this school for a brief time. The students who attend are yelled at from the minute they walk in the door to the second they get in the bus. The students are all so unique and interesting, but the kindergarten teacher in the class I was placed in did not care to get to know them. She didn't understand them or where they were coming from and didn't care to. That is no way to teach and also takes all the fun and reward out of teaching! I met several good teachers and faulty members during my time there who were amazing people, but I also met way to many poor ones for this to be a school I would consider for my child.

At first I liked my daughter goin to Marshall but now i really dis like it there are no good functions for the children to look forward to, as in Halloween parades Christmas programs for all the students and so on, I would not recommend any child to go to this school, the head of tps couldn't even remember what school he was at during a award assembly here at Marshall just goes to show who knows what is going on

I go to this school and its not so bad now the pricipal has a grip on all the students and the staff. The office is actually organized and clean. There are only a few kids that dont listen or fight but thats at all schools in the beginning of the year.I went to The Maritime Academy for two years and it was like that at the begining of every year.It only took about 2 weeks to get everything organized but all together its a great school. The students that go there are nice and everything. But as the4 years Ive been going there and the six years my sister`s been going there all the teachers treat her and me like royalty. They treat all the students equally.Out of the class at gym is where all the older kids get their energy out since they told us we couldnt switch and I understand why to while we switched we were loud and disrupted the younger classes that are trying to learn. So now we have the teachers come to us.Whe we move to the new building it will be better for everyone because we all will still be learning including the teachers and staff. But right now dont let the look of the building we are in now affect what it actually is.This is my last year at Marshall great experience for me

If there was a way to give a negative score I would. My son attended this school briefly and it was over crowded and the teachers were rude ignored the parents the office was so unorganized They didn't know where things were and if you didnt keep on them about simple things like medical forms it wouldn't get done. Teachers putting their hands on students while addressing the parent, when they should be focusing on the conversation. Imagine what could happen if the parent wasn't around and my son is only in kindergarten. They placed him in the wrong class and didn't care or notice until I picked up on it when I came to vist. They even had his transcripts so it shouldn't have happened. Hated this school. For the love of your child dont send your kid here!!! apply for out of district if you have to.

My niece attends this school and I am not impressed with it at all. the teacher she has is not helpful and refuses to help her improve her grade. there is no way for the parent to know that the child is failing until the grade card comes out. Other schools have a website for parents to check the students grades and encourage parent involvement. When asked her teacher responded by saying that only the teachers are allowed to check the website (not the parents) and she seemed very disinterested in letting my sister be an involve parent. They also refuse to protect the kids from a known danger by refusing to honor a restraining order that is currently active against a man openly harassing, stalking, and threatening a child.
