I love my daughter's school and was lucky enough to get her in for Kindergarten out of district. We have now moved and are in the Washington local district but I refuse to take her out because I love her school so much. I've never had an issue with any of her teachers, although I still haven't fully met the new principal. Overall I love how involved a lot of the parents are and the PTA. It's such a great little community.

This school was originally to be for handicap students (Feilbach). When Glendale school was condemned by the city health department, the School Board decided to merge them with Feilbach. Glendale people then took over the school and told the Feilbach kids that they should be happy Glendale let them attend their. Mr Feilbach actually donated the land to build a new Feilbach school as they had outgrown the old one behind Cherry Elementary School.

We are loving Byrnedale! My son is doing so much better here, my daughter continues to do well, and I love the fact that they will continue going to Byrnedale through middle school. Toledo Public Schools' K-8 buildings seem like a step in the right direction. Keep up the good work!

The academics were not challenging enough. The supervision by the staff was lacking. Had numerous issues with how issues were handled by the principal. Would not recommend this school to anyone.

Great teachers, many who have been here for years as well as some great new teachers implementing new ideas. Teachers work hard to help the children meet or exceed testing standards. Field trips and hands on activities are always happening. The new building is undersized but the principal and staff here offers a lot of events for the students, their families and the community in order to help those who are willing to find a way to connect. Teachers always set aside time for a conference and are more than willing to work alongside parents. The teachers always suggest educational opportunities that can help build the levels of learning. The staff has shown their support for students at activities whether offered through the district or otherwise. Extra curricular activities at this school include: Lego league, Girl Scouts, Orchestra, Walking Club, Whittier Jets Cheerleading, Kindness club, Chinese Class/club, Art, Music, Chess club, Young Men and Women of Excellence, Early High School Opportunities, and many more!

Pulling my kid out this week. Racist bullies and bad principal. So sick to death of them not doing a darn thing about the serious issues they have.

After a horrible experience with ESC, I pulled my one daughter out of district & enrolled her into Garfield, when they were in the Franklin building. The moment I started talking to Mr. Lang, I knew this was the school for her. She is now in jr. high, but I've had my youngest daughter in the school as well since K & now she is in the 2nd grade. Mr. Lang is a strict YET loving & caring principal. Treating no student different than the other! The teachers are good, some better than others...but I've yet to have a bad experience with any of them. Definitely recommend this school to anyone!

MLK school for boys..great school for boys...love the principal and the teachers...I love the idea "caught being good" and you get rewarded. That means they are really paying attention to the student and not just in the class room.

Committed administrators who obviously care about the students and the environment of learning sets this school apart. I have watched first hand the sacrifices and the investment made on behalf of all children. Children rise to the level of expectation set at home, and set at school. There are many people going above and beyond the call of duty here.

The academics seem to be good, the building is very nice. However I dont like their dismissal process, it is crazy and hectic and not very safe for the times we are living in. The lack of communication between the school and parents is alarming as well. They will send home notices of events like book fairs and picture day but will give NO details so that the parent is left guessing. Allin all it seems to be one of the better toledo public schools

Birmingham is a great school! I myself and my brother and sisters went ther from k-6 and I currently have 3 children that attend there. I actually live on the south side of Toledo and still send my kids there. All the parents and all the staff know all the kids very well. The Birmingham neighborhood is very close. Many of my elementary school friends have kids that attend there. I love this school! : )

I attended Old Orchard as a child and also worked as an adult directly with students during their after-school program. The teachers are not only competent, but care for the children in their classrooms and work diligently to see them succeed.

Reynolds Elementary is a Great School ! It's NOT the teachers principals ! It's the PARENTS ! The only reason kids barely are learning is because of the BAD kids , their parents need to get their kids under control and teach them to have respect for adults ! I'm a student at Reynolds and I love that school ! I've been there since kindergarten and that school is amazing ! It's just people need to get their kids under control ! The teachers feel bad for everyone that's trying to learn but can't because people kids are always acting up ! Get your kids under control and watch it be a difference ! I've been there for 7years kdg,1st,2nd.3rd,4th,5th & 6th grade I'm still at Reynolds ! People need to get their kids UNDER CONTROL I'm serious ! The principals are great too, it's the bad kids !

I transitioned my daughter to this school after being told just after a few weeks at another school, that she has or they believed her to have adhd and be so unvontrollable. All i can say is BUT GOD! Just within the first week i noticed emaculant improvement in her behavior and education. Ela. P. Stewart gave me a different type of hope. I am grateful! She had not one bad report since she started. In fact, her teacher suggest increasing her level of homework due to her advancement. This school was perfect for my baby. Great decision to send her here. The staff mean business but have a warm loving care.

Pickett has made great strides in the past few years - as a partner of theirs in providing backpack programs, providing nutrition education through conversation maps and initiating a walking school bus, this school (staff, students and families) has been very enthusiastic and helpful in all areas! We look forward to many more years of partnering with them!

Never AGAIN! From the constant fighting in school to drugs being sold on CAMPUS....NEVER AGAIN! My children were there 6 months before we pulled them out and sent them to private school. To make matters worse, prior to pulling them out, we received a notice that both of there teachers did not pass there certification! Avoid this school and TPS at all costs!

I volunteered at this school for a brief time. The students who attend are yelled at from the minute they walk in the door to the second they get in the bus. The students are all so unique and interesting, but the kindergarten teacher in the class I was placed in did not care to get to know them. She didn't understand them or where they were coming from and didn't care to. That is no way to teach and also takes all the fun and reward out of teaching! I met several good teachers and faulty members during my time there who were amazing people, but I also met way to many poor ones for this to be a school I would consider for my child.

This school is not a good school to send children to, they like to make false statements on people about their children and waste people time. They call children services on people for no reason just because they like to assume they know whats goin on in people's house hold.
