Read what parents are saying about Marietta High Schoolmost of the staff I've interacted with have been nice but the problem lies in the administration. there were several times when I went here that the admin failed to inform teachers or students of drills, which caused a lot of panic and emotional destress among the students. there was one instance where several students left the school at the end of the day crying after an assembly about seatbelts and driving safety. the school invited a state trooper to speak on the importance of wearing seatbelts. during this assembly we were told very in depth and disturbing details of cars accidents and the state trooper described seeing trails of blood, dead bodies and other very graphic and triggering things. there were also multiple mice and cockroaches seen in the cafeteria on multiple different occasions. most of the teachers are nice though.
Posted by a community member on 11/28/2023I found this school to lack communication skills. Staff seems to ignore student input. I must say they do have some good teachers but no enough.

Posted by a parent on 1/4/20231100 students with 100 staff,, wonder why bullying is such a problem,, the principal is very good at sweeping problems under the rug till he get called out on it then turns it over to the school officer,, having children in with adults is not a good way to consolidate schools,, this matter needs to be looked at farther,,

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagewould not recommend this school to anybody. The school hires teachers that are not fit to be teaching, these teachers have no respect for the wellbeing of the students and will single out specific students. The rules and regulations for students depends on their gender, one example being the dress code, the dress code for female students is almost never enforced while for male students if they are slightly out of code they will be punished. also the electronics policy at the school does not allow apple devices and they do not make exceptions. The environment in school is not welcoming to students and a majority of the student body wishes they attended a different school according to a 2022 study conducted by students of the schoolStudent Review7mo ago - St Marys School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVeritas Classical Academy does just what it says it will do. It takes young minds seriously! The curriculum is challenging, and the teachers are supportive, encouraging and praise the students. Students are rewarded for engaging in class and other activities in the school, creating a culture where they can thrive academically and socially. Virtues are part of the daily conversation, so that students "construct a virtuous character" while getting a love for lifelong learning. I am a college professor and I was recently asked to come in to guest teach in a high school classroom. I was so impressed with how quickly the Veritas High School students not only understood the material, but started to engage with it. They were able to draw conclusions and apply the lesson to others parts of their lives faster than my college students generally do!Parent Review1mo ago - Oak Grove Christian School
