Posted by a parent on 2/29/2024This was my first year of 7th grade and I loved it but I do have some issues. The Bullying was the worst. Most of my classmates were very mean and dissrepectful to others and even to the teachers. Iv'e seen boys drag girls by their hair, Iv'e seen students try to jump others and they took their things, I have been threatened by another student in the hallway about the same thing. I would get a water bottle from the vending machines every day and I was almost late for class once because we left late but while I was putting my wallet away, a student threatened me by saying they would take my wallet. Another time I was bullied I was walking down the hallway from my Encore and a student threw a water bottle at me and it exploded. I couldn't tell a teacher about it because i didn't know who the student was. I would say the most effective teachers we're team 7,4 Mrs. Moskowitz, Mr. Bush, Mr. Hamilton and Mrs. Sliverman. They always had helped students out when it came to bullying or learning.

Posted by a parent on 8/21/2017This school has untapped potential. It will depend on whether or not people of the area take an active role in making things better. Over the course of the year, the system seemed to stay at the status quo, being that discord with the board, community and administration repeatedly took headlines. Propaganda seems to tell the public that it is a money issue, that is rarely the case, as little is solved with money. Pulling solutions into a great framework for the community would help and there are many people and resources here willing to move such a plan forward.
Posted by a parent on 7/20/2014This school is horrible. I honestly hate it. I am surrounded by cussing, violence, and drama. Not to mention the fact that I take advanced classes and the education is still very easy to keep up with. I like some of the teachers and the extra curricular classes, but I have been begging to transfer for months. Do not move into the district if you want your children to have a good school experience!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you’re looking for preschool - know that the district’s prek population is condensed down to 2 elementary schools (2 out of the 5 elementary schools they have). The teachers are absolutely not supported. Most of the Children, at least half in every class are special needs and they do not have aides provided to them or even additional teachers so the amount of focus given from the teachers goes to these children. The teachers don’t actually get to teach anything and the regular kids are frustrated and are not getting the learning opportunities they should: bottom line no one is …: this has ruined the prek program. Send your child to private school or look at neighboring schools don’t make the same mistake I did. They have a hard time keeping staff for the year bc they bog these teachers down with students they simply don’t have the support for. It’s a huge problem that will continue to get worse. The population is growing and the school board is not accommodating this but will take the money that comes with it.Parent Review9mo ago - St Thomas More School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCHM is an amazing school! We enrolled our daughter at the age of 3 and she completed kindergarten here. She then went on to another highly rated private school. She is a straight A student, and I attribute that to the excellent skills that she learned at CHM. What an awesome group of teachers! I have referred many friends and family members, and they all agree that it is more than worth the tuition fee.Parent Review11y ago - St Bernadette School
