This is a great school where the staff genuinely care about the students, and my children truly feel seen and valued. I really appreciate the cultural and physical diversity among the staff—it creates a welcoming and inclusive environment. The teachers my boys have had so far have been wonderful; they feel like family away from home. While I do wish there were more recreational activities available, overall, the school and its staff are outstanding, and we truly love being part of this community.

My child was getting help in school for math and reading i was told she need to go to summer school she went and the school held her back and now the same thing this year again.

All three of my oldest children attended this School. The Staff have become like family. They pay close attention to each child and work with them individually if and when needed. Great communication between Teachers and Parents.

I love this school my kids go there

My five-year-old’s experience at Zeta Charter School did not meet my expectations. My child became very emotional and was often told they “didn’t listen.” (which was not the case, more like scared) My child would lose recess or be told they could not pick from the Fun Box on Fridays if they did not do well on a test or forgot to write their name on the paper. They also shared that the teachers yelled too much, creating a boot-camp style environment that did not feel nurturing or welcoming for such young children. There was also too much homework for kindergarten, including work over the weekends. I believe learning is important, but there needs to be a balance, especially for children new to “big school” after pre-K. It felt like my child was expected to be learning at school and at home at all times. There was also a lot of pressure placed on my child, not just on me as a parent. Demerits were given to the child, which caused my child to fear their teachers and worry constantly about getting in trouble. We also received demerits if tablets were not charged. Although the school advertised enrichment activities, my child did not get to participate in things like music, sports, or other activities. I also became aware that other parents had similar concerns. Some requested classroom changes for their children, while others chose, as I did, to remove their children from the school. The school was very strict about uniforms, and even one day without the correct uniform resulted in a demerit. This environment may work for some parents and children, but it was not the right fit for my child. I decided to remove my child and enroll them in another school. Since then, my child has been much happier and excited to go to school, and we have had no complaints.
