The parent/ teachers are the only ones posting positives about this school. This school is absolutely horrible when it comes to parents who have actual concerns about their kids progress. If you applied for financial aid, they are worse; they treat you differently and don't even think about questioning the students progress. They charge for everything and only care about donations and money. They do not have gifted and talented programs, their staff is unprofessional HORRIBLE to parents. I've seen them shout and scream at the top of their lungs at Parents who are just there.

My experience was mostly positive. There are many positive experiences that a child can have attending here. I've even recommended other parents send their children there. My experience says that they often put children in a box and expect them to remain there. Any deviation from that box makes you undesirable and they will seek any excuse to push you out of the school for that deviation. Making the mistakes a normal kid would make mark you as a threat to their pristine image and they will force you out. Unless you're from the right family.

Sia faculty are the only people posting anything positive of this school, don't be fooled. Besides a few good teachers most of them are rude, disrespectful, and abusive towards the students. The principles Mr Cauz ,Mrs Prendergast and Mrs Gorigliano are even worse, they only care about getting a paycheck. The tuition cost are extreme and only 25% of the students pay full price, all others are basically free. I would stay away from this school at all cost. Poly prep is a much better school. Goodluck

I am so proud that my daughter was accepted and enrolled in the Kindergarten program so fast even with our late enrollment and are looking foward to her being part of the gifted & talanted program. We were warmly welcomed even into late Summer camp enrollment! Our daughter has made so many new friends. Very professional staff. We are so happy we had a hiccup and were in need to find a proper school late. It was meant to be! Great school !! Professional educated staff no uneducated volunteers! Our daughter is going to thrive here ! Kind environment as well. We fit here.

It is easy to read reviews from parents who have one view of the institution, which is from the outside. Until, you're in the classes, walking on campus the only vibe that can be correctly shared is from a student. As an alum, the academy has failed me. The pretty campus and two-face faculty did not follow me when entering my college career. Morning smiles and afternoon grunts from the Academy, didn't get me an A in college english or help me enter a higher level Spanish course after 7 years of the course. The teachers are only your friends when they're not in jeopardy of having to hear from a complaining parent or faculty member. The college process is just embarrassing. Students are not excelling to the extent your dollar is being spent. The new headmaster is absolutely horrible. Attending a prep school should mean the students accepted have and carry prestige/stature to their name. Under Cauz's reign, all you need is a puerto rican blood line and a soccer ball to sit within the walls of a once superior learning facility. If you don't mind paying for a mediocre learning environment, heads today tales tomorrow faculty and a threatening college counselor then SIA is for you. However, Poly Prep is only a few exits away and you're guaranteed a better future.
