My child got slapped in the face because her best friend offered her a drink and this girl came over and wanted it and my daughter said it was hers and the girl slapped her so you know my daughter is sensitive she goes over to a lunch monitor crying she takes my daughter to the nurse and the girl to the principal office (teachers don’t do anything about it).I also watch how this guy in a sped class getting bullied by 3 boys every day around 4,5th gradeThis school highest rating is likes 3!I don’t recommend

I graduated from PS 134 in 1951. I attended for the entire elementary period along with many others who lived in the area at that time. We loved and respected our teachers and each other. Most of us went on through high school and college and productive careers. I graduated from Brooklyn Tech then Hofstra college, did a career in the US Army then and additional career with a major midwest university. In May this year I will reunion with 3 old pals of that era. We have been in contact since that time and frequently talk about our PS 134 experience. I attribute my success in life to my teachers and especially to our principal, Marie Fowler Rielly! (sp)

Just moved in the neighborhood and was looking for school close to home . I saw PS 136 and despite the bad reviews I still enrolled my family members . Disappointed and angry is an understatement with one of the kindergarten teacher along with the 3rd grade teacher not forgetting the principal. They do not take responsibility for their actions when they messed up . The principal C.Q have no etiquette for a leader and it is very disappointing. Her along with her fellow teachers do not know how to be professional and I hope it change sometime soon. It is only because of transportation or else I would have choose to withdraw my family member from this school. I hope the DOE looks into them and their unethical behavior!

Horrible experience for a child with or without special needs.

Great! The students are attentive, respectful and a pleasure to instruct.

This was my child's first year in this school. I feel that overall the school is a good school; however, I felt that my child's teacher was little lazy. The teacher would gave exams but would not give the students their books to come home with, so they could study. Then once they took the exams I never knew how my child did because the teacher would not send the exams home. I would always have to ask the teacher how my child did and the teacher would say fine; but would not send her home with the exams. I did not feel as a parent I should have to ask to see my child's test and have to ask the teacher over and over to send her books home so she could study. I felt that the teacher mean well, but did not want to put in the extra work. I love the fact that the classes are small, but feel that the teacher should try to help the students more and encourage them to always do well. I also do not like that this school does not have a school nurse and hope that they get one soon.
