Posted by a parent on 3/4/2024My experience at this school was wonderful the teachers are kind and are great examples for your kids .I just graduated from the school, I'm the class of 2018. Overall the experience was wonderful made so many long lasting memories and I learned a lot here emotionally and mentally. I am so sad to be leaving.. It's a great school definitely recommend it for your kids.:)
Posted by a student on 8/13/2018My kids are so happy in this school, my oldest is now moving up to the middle school. I really wanted to thank all the teachers (they are so awesome in different ways). PA: Ms. Maggie, Assist Principal: Ms. Perez, Principal: Ms. Thomas, lunch ladies, teach aids, security, janitor. My kids love them. They are so accommodating and welcoming. They treated my kids like their own. I am a single mom who has to work almost 24/7, however, I am very active in partnering up w. the teachers. They were very opened and willing to go for the extra miles. The teachers discipline the kids, however they also explained why they have to do that. Hoping for more programs for children activities, more trips, events (swimming , dance, drama, arts, science, spelling bee, math, computer & tech lessons & competitions). It is important to be excellent academically, however this school is excellent to guide my kids to be better as a person, more confidence and socially active.
Posted by a parent on 7/2/2018My son transferred to this school in the middle of the K school year 2017. We had previously gone to a Catholic School, but my son was not happy there and I found that his time there was too rigid and did not allow for creativity, science and P.E. I saw an immediate change once he began attending PS 206Q and he looked forward to going to class and things that were being planned in the classroom. The communication is great, the Teachers are committed to the kids education and balance it with some fun things as well. As a parent I try to volunteer when I can and check with the teacher to see how my child is doing and what I can do at home to support his learning. We are into our second school year and I think it's a great school. I would recommend any parent to this school and always trust your instinct when it comes to your child's well being. Just because it's private school or highly rated does not necessarily mean it's right for your child. Take a tour and talk to the Principal and Parent Coordinator to find out what your school has to offer.
Posted by a parent on 11/1/2017This school really improved a lot from couple years ago. My youngest one goes here now. The new principal and teachers are awesome!!! This year, I attended many workshops and fun activities for my daughter. Good environment, classes and the park are cleaner than previous years. Teachers are open for discussion, they dedicate Tuesdays for counseling/concerns/etc. This month I got a letter for the 3rd parent-teacher conference, which we discussed about my kid's level and how to improve my kid for the next grade. I feel like my daughter goes to a private school. :) thank you for the efforts, keep it up!!!

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible school. My daughter was bullied and the principal did nothing to fix the situation.I am still waiting on a meeting she promised my daughter and I regarding this. She does not have an open door policy. She is always "busy".Kids are super cliquey and the girls are catty in her grade .The principal and teachers play favorites.Academics is to be desired as some teachers should of retired a long time ago.Thank God I transferred her to a better school.Parent Review1y ago - The Montessori School of New York - Queens
