Penn Yan Middle School

I am just going to make this as straight forward as possible.This school is good if you have an academically well child. Otherwise? It treats students who may have learning difficulties like garbage. If you have a child who needs extra help or has a 504/IEP, do not enroll them at this school.Not only do the adults treat the children awfully if they need this help, and lack any respect. But are very catty and negative and treat the children as if they are not listening.Not only do friends, family, and many others I have inquired about this with agreed with me and have had their own personal experiences, but I too, during my enrollment as a student with ADHD, was treated like total and utter garbage by the very staff that were supposed to be helping me. Some teachers maybe great! But it’s only if your child is cookie cutter and above average, if not? Good luck enrolling them here, they will feel dehumanized on a daily basis. It’s sad that not only I had to go through this, but that shows things have not changed.

We wouldn't go anywhere else and drive from a different county to send our child here. I only wish this school went through 12th grade!
