Posted by a parent on 6/24/2021I am a parent leader at the school and my children have been there for the last four years. I encourage anyone looking for a school to visit the school and look beyond test scores, recognizing that the school only started in 2013 and absorbed a number of students from a failing now phased out school. It takes time to effect change and New Bridges is making strides in many ways. There is an excellent arts program. Every student has visual art, music, dance and phys ed every week. This year the school is a Showcase School, mainly for recognition of the culture the administrators and teachers work so hard to create.

They offer programs to teach children about health living and eating right in addition to their normal educational programs. I attended one of the events for families where there was a chef from a three star restaurant teaching children how to cook healthy. The meal also was also delicious. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was originally called Montgomery academy. My daughter attended for 1 yr. I must say the teachers are truly excellent. They are all loving caregivers but management are the worse. All they care about is tuition but they don't pay their staff. One day, in the summer, I went to get my daughter and the directors son was sitting between a caregivers legs doing his hair and the kids are sitting watching TV and one child was in tears. NO one moved when I walked in. That was one of the reasons I took my daughter out. 2nd reason is television in school in unacceptable. You are the teachers - please teach my daughters young mind. Once u have a solid foundation every and anything is possible to achieve. A little beating with love and the right intention pays off at the end. It won't kill the child.
