Read what parents are saying about Success Academy Bronx 1I love the teachers and for the most part the student environment inside the school. The administration has no respect for parents they yell, belittle and embarrass people. The playground and outside of the school is not well kept. Very dirty looking school. They only care about children that are exceeding but the one that are falling below are very much neglected.

Posted by a parent on 9/7/2017"I must be a failure of a mother" these were my thoughts throughout my child's kinder year. I was introduced to bullying in kindergarten. I wrote many letters and went to all the meetings, no changes.I received a life changing email "congrats your child has been accepted." She began to love school, no more complaints. Being a single working mom full time college student it was hard for me to be as involved as I wanted. The teachers at this school showed so much concern and dedication that it exceeded what I imagined a teacher could do. From the early morning tutoring n well after 5pm, calls about good behavior and to check on her. The dedication that they show is beyond words. The culture is inviting for parents, it's a culture where you can see that your child is the main priority for them and their success is the reason why everyone in this school sacrifices so much. Tears come to my eyes writing this. My baby went from being afraid to go to school and not knowing how to read to being upset when school is out and reading at a level I thought would have toke a lot longer for her to master. The school is Bronx 3, but it's not on the list. Owe them my child's future.
Posted by a parent on 4/29/2014Excellent.....My son has a chance to succeed. He's in first grade and is reading on a second grade level, he is amazing in math and enjoys science. He has a love for school and learning. My school failed me from day 1 and I know Success Academy will not do the same to my son. I'm amazed everyday on how my son teaches me the basics I didn't learn in elementary.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy two daughters attended this school for about 6 years. They graduated last week and must say I love this school. As a parent school picking the right school is so important for your child and I am so glad I picked this school. My children and I felt supported from day 1. Even after I moved to Manhattan it didn't bother me to commute because finding a great school like this was hard to come by. Ms. Zwerling was my daughters biggest cheerleader for so many years she helped along the IEP process and always was a ear for her to express herself. Ms. Josama who understood my daughter and actually gave her the motivation to tap into her crafted of cricut among many other things. I must say this year Hailey was feeling to really express that fun, creative business side of herself. Ms. Miro the school secretary that was such a sunshine to my girls and I every morning. If something was needed she made sure it was done. My little Lilly loved being welcomed with a hug from her. Ms. Mayo who was Lillys first teacher was so kind to her. Ms. Lopez the teacher who will light up every room with her kind heart, She taught my daughter how to break out of her shell and join the step team. Lilly felt so in love with step. That's just to list a few of the many people who had a impact. I just want to say Thank you PS.49 for preparing my girls for the future and I will forever be thankful.Parent Review1y ago - Ps 154 Jonathan D Hyatt

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average45% of the school staff for 3k and pre-k are unprofessional. They have a scheduled routine for the kids each morning and do not follow it. Some teachers believe they can follow their own schedule. They lack communication when convenient to them. They speak to children as if they are less than they are. They need to upgrade the school and staff!Parent Review11mo ago - NYC Montessori Charter School
