8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a PS96 alumni myself, it is great to see how amazing this school is STILL doing! My son has been enrolled since kindergarten and he loves it! The teachers are great, the staff is so friendly, the assistant principals go above and beyond for each child, the counselors as well and the principal is the cherry on top! Absolutely approachable and welcoming! She always makes herself available and is constantly looking at ways to enrich our students academic life! I would 100% recommend this school! PS96 is the best!Parent Review5mo ago19 Reviews - Ps 105 Senator Abraham Bernstein

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child was not getting the resources and teaching he needs. He was getting bullied and i tried talking to the staff. But they said they cant do anything? Like what? They had an assembly about bullying and how they should tell their teachers instead of self defense. Unacceptable.Parent Review5mo ago21 Reviews - Ps 121 Throop

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended Throop from K-5, and graduated in 2020. I felt that she had received a well-rounded education from Throop. All her teachers were friendly, kind, and respectful. My daughter is currently in grade 8 and she still remembers all her teachers from Throop. After Throop, My daughter attended the Honors program at MS 181 for one year until she got accepted at Hunter College High School starting at grade 7. She is almost done with grade 8 and she is doing exceptionally well at Hunter. I feel her continued success can be partly attributed to the foundation she received at Throop. So, if any teachers at Throop are reading this, Thank you. Your efforts continue to bear fruits even years after your kids leave you.Parent Review3y ago10 Reviews - St Lucy's School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has the ability to really be good, some staff members are dedicated and students can be really great, however there are too many things holding it back. Jane Stefanini is one of the most incompetent principals I've ever worked with. She constantly forgets things, never deals with issues head on, and will constantly lie to parents and staff members in order to make herself look good and like she's doing her job. She never leaves her office and only knows the kids that are sent to her (there are few).Other Review3y ago12 Reviews - The Learning Tree

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a okay school if your child is a girl. The school is very sexist not to mention unfair to the male students. Little things count like if a boy is in the front of the line he has to go to the back to be a "gentleman". A girl has a very small chance at getting into trouble no matter what they do. Recently my classmate burped loudly as a joke at lunch to be funny, they teacher gave him detention. Detention is not to just be thrown around, its not a good punishment for a joke. He said excuse me and apologized without even grinning. A girl burped really loudly and laughed loudly, said excuse me and the teacher didn't even look at her weird. That is completely outrageous and makes absolutely no sense. Recently a girl in my class was talking back to a teacher and practically arguing with her because she did not feel like participating, she did not get any punishment. One of my classmates apparently side eyed a teacher after they were screaming at them and being extra because they were doing a handshake with another student in the hallway and got detention. Girls in this school tend to be very rude to teachers, and will often get no punishment, but as soon as a boy disagrees with a teacher he gets a harsh punishment. The school is not a safe place emotionally for young men, they will be brought down. If your child is a young women the school has some pros for them since they will face no bad marks on their record, be treated kindly instead of poorly etc... This school would be amazing if they treated both genders the same, otherwise from that the school is just about fine except for the homework loads. It leaves us as students little to no free time when we get home. The physical environment is safe, and teachers do not put their hands on children. The school does perform quite well academically besides its flaws, but it does not make up for a lot of things. If your child is male he might be respectful to women, but in return will have low self esteem and think of themselves lower than women at any given time. Everyone should be treated equally, not unfairly, this is unfair. If you decide to pick this school for a young male child remember to teach them their worth, and how to respectfully stand up for themselves.Student Review2y ago13 Reviews - City Of Faith Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children and I absolutely love City of Faith Christian School. We’ve been blessed to be apart of the COFCS family for the past 14 years, and I can truly say it has been one of the greatest decisions we’ve made for our family. The teachers and staff are not only dedicated educators but also compassionate mentors who pour their hearts into every child. City of Faith beautifully blends strong academics with Christian values, shaping students into confident, kind, and capable young leaders.Because it’s a smaller school, students benefit from more personalized attention and genuine care. It has been such a gift, especially for my youngest, who is quite shy. The teachers have gone above and beyond to make him feel seen, heard, supported, and confident. What touches me most is how passionate the teachers are about celebrating each student’s growth. They share moments of pride and joy with you, reminding us that they truly see and value every child. My youngest was sick and due to their quick thinking, he was able to get the medical attention needed. I am eternally grateful for all they have and continue to do.I wholeheartedly recommend City of Faith Christian School to any parent looking for a nurturing, faith-base environment where children are not only educated but loved. Your child will thrive academically, spiritually, and emotionally here.Parent Review6mo ago17 Reviews
