This school do not care about their students from the principal down to the dean. Students in this school don't feel any safety and the staff is very bias towards certain students.Since the last principal leaving this school it turned to worst. I have reported this school many times to DOE but nothing happens

As a PS96 alumni myself, it is great to see how amazing this school is STILL doing! My son has been enrolled since kindergarten and he loves it! The teachers are great, the staff is so friendly, the assistant principals go above and beyond for each child, the counselors as well and the principal is the cherry on top! Absolutely approachable and welcoming! She always makes herself available and is constantly looking at ways to enrich our students academic life! I would 100% recommend this school! PS96 is the best!

Bery unsafe school due to the district 11 an the principal assistant principal runing it . As beautiful as my area is an hiw much I paid to live here beautiful neighbors. Sad ppl runing this school I wouldnt trust runing any thing with children especially with special needs . Replace the supernatendants board of education district 11 an the principal an higher ups in this school get real honest trustworthy ppl that litterally have a real caring heart for all our children an patience an great postive rein forcement with speecial need kids . I just feel there are so many good ppl that should take the place of unsafe ppl that use thier tirle an take advantage of it . We safe schools that is part of the large amount in our rent an ect to let it be worth it to have safe neighborhood an schools

My child was not getting the resources and teaching he needs. He was getting bullied and i tried talking to the staff. But they said they cant do anything? Like what? They had an assembly about bullying and how they should tell their teachers instead of self defense. Unacceptable.

My daughter attended Throop from K-5, and graduated in 2020. I felt that she had received a well-rounded education from Throop. All her teachers were friendly, kind, and respectful. My daughter is currently in grade 8 and she still remembers all her teachers from Throop. After Throop, My daughter attended the Honors program at MS 181 for one year until she got accepted at Hunter College High School starting at grade 7. She is almost done with grade 8 and she is doing exceptionally well at Hunter. I feel her continued success can be partly attributed to the foundation she received at Throop. So, if any teachers at Throop are reading this, Thank you. Your efforts continue to bear fruits even years after your kids leave you.

I have worked at New Covenant for the past 11 years and I find it to be a wonderful place to work. The students receive individual attention in all aspects. Students are taught beyond the core curriculum and the staff goes beyond the call of duty. We try to satisfy everyone but obviously we can’t. God bless! JP

This school has the ability to really be good, some staff members are dedicated and students can be really great, however there are too many things holding it back. Jane Stefanini is one of the most incompetent principals I've ever worked with. She constantly forgets things, never deals with issues head on, and will constantly lie to parents and staff members in order to make herself look good and like she's doing her job. She never leaves her office and only knows the kids that are sent to her (there are few).
