William V Wright Elementary School

My daughter has been at Forbuss Elementary from kindergarten up until 2nd grade but unfortunately that’s where it stops for us. In our experience the teachers are wonderful and academically my daughter always got the help and resources she needed but when it came down to emotional support, and feeling safe. Forbuss did not follow through with that. Some advice if your considering coming to that the school is don’t rely on the principal to ever help sort out a problem with your child, nothing will get done. And also if you love to volunteer like I do for my child don’t even think about joining PAC there volunteer group because if there president doesn’t like you for whatever personal reason you won’t be able to join even though it’s supposedly open to all parents.

THEY SENT ME TO A MENTAL INSTITUTION FOR BEING SLIGHTLY SAD ABOUT BEING BULLIED, THEY WITHHELD DOCUMENTS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS WHEN I TRANSFERRED, THEY LET ME ACT UP IN CLASS CONSTANTLY, AND PUT ME IN SPECIAL ED BC I WAS BEHIND BECAUSE THEY NEVER BOTHERED TRYING. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM.

The teachers isn’t so great & they don’t communicate when stuff happens to you’re child .

My oldest was at Don and Dee Snyder k-5 and my other two children are currently attending. Myself and all three kids have absolutely loved this school and this staff. The administration at this school is amazing, loving and supportive. Mrs. Dalton the principal truly cares about the school, the kids and the community. I have had to personally meet with Mrs. Lopez the assistant principal multiple times about various issues with my kids. Every time we spoke she was kind, respectful and fair. I know my kids are not saints and were at fault in some situations but she was always understanding, kind and fair to my kids and me in those situations. I saw someone mention that they were not called when their kids spoke to the assistant principal and that they are not allowed to do that but that is untrue. Would it be nice if they could call every time? Yes. But do they have to? No. I bet that would be a lot of phone calls! I have spoke with Mrs. Wichman once as well and she took the time to explain things to me when I wasn't clear about the process. One of my children has a 504 and the team was amazing about working with us on accommodations and all the teachers have been so supportive in my kids emotional health. Can't say enough great things about this school!

This school is literally the best out of the elementary schools that my children have ever attended. From the moment I spoke to Ms Genovese, until now, Every single encounter has been nothing short of all things amazing! My daughter has some special needs and on top of their already winning attitudes and care for the GE students, they are 100 % participating in their special education program with care, concern and a true desire to see theses babies blasting forward ! The communication from Jan Jones’ team to parents, is communication to be envied. They make me feel safe leaving my child in their hands. They make me feel like she is seen, heard, understood and rallied for at this school! They make you feel like family and I will forever be grateful that my daughter gets to experience Elementary School here! What a privilege ! Side Note: school is squeaky clean Cross Guard team ( impeccable ) which is a huge deal I could go on but I hope this helps! If you bring your child here, just know, you got the golden ticket !
