Posted by a community member on 8/17/2023My child just spent the last 3 years at Faiss, coming from one year of public elementary school and everything before at Challenger School. I only wish the teachers and Principal at this school would follow her into her high school next year! The teachers are very proactive, and take an active interest in your child. There are tons of activities the kids can get involved in and every time we attended concerts and different functions, we could see the interaction between the teachers and the students was so very positive. My child never had a bad thing to say about any of her teachers, she was very happy and did very well academically under the Faiss umbrella.Additionally, I would like to comment about the principal. Mr. West is without a doubt the best principal I have encountered in the Clark County School District. I, myself, was a student in the CCSD, and was taught under great leaders during my school years, but Mr. West is frankly outstanding. He participated in one of their after school events a few years ago, a fund raiser, where he allowed the kids to buy strips of tape to tape him to a pole...it was all in good fun and I was one of the people selling tape and can tell you the kids went NUTS buying tape during his turn. He is a dynamic leader with a very gentle demeanor and the kids respond really well to him. He is highly effective at initiating change at the school when needed, and a very strong presence in every school function. The principal at our next school has very big shoes to fill.If your child is attending Faiss now or in the future, feel very blessed that these fine educators will have an impact on your child's future. I for one, am very thankful.
Posted by a parent on 6/14/2020My child started 6th grade this year. I have been pleased overall. We came from the terribly overcrowded Wright elementary . My child and I were very happy to leave that school. My student has always been an honor student so we do not struggle as some do, I can only review my experience her at Faiss. We are looking forward to 7th and 8th grade!

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our first year at this school, and we love it! The teachers are very knowledgeable, and we love how the school communicates information weekly to keep us all in the loop. This school is very academic-focused, but they also make sure to host family-friendly events and activities for the students. We really enjoyed the Halloween carnival and the fun dress-up days.Parent Review4mo ago - Robert L Forbuss Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a teacher in CCSD for over 30 years and Don and Dee Snyder is the most well run school that I have ever seen. Everything is organized and runs seamlessly at Snyder. It is my grandson's first year at this school and it is amazing. The office staff is well organized, personable, and caring. They immediately answer any questions and will find the answer for me if they don't have it readily available. His teacher, Ms. Yanez, is exceptional. She is communicative, patient, caring, and I can tell she loves her students. The teacher's aide, Ms. Han, is also great. My grandson is having a wonderful experience in school this year and I attribute that to these two ladies. Thank you to everyone at the school.Parent Review2mo ago - Shelley Berkley Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI cannot say enough great things about the Berkley Bulls. My eldest went to 5th grade the second year they were opened. My youngest has been there since kinder. Every teacher we have had has been exceptional. Very communicative, creating a safe place, challenging the kiddos, and making learning fun! My youngest enter kinder with a speech delay during COVID. He wore a mask the entire year. He now reads chapter books and loves the book aisle! He loves all the teachers, not exclusive to his own. Both Dr. Lewis, and now Ms. Gomez, have been some of the coolest principals! Very active and engaged with families. I wish I had amazing principals like that growing up. I recommend every parent volunteer at one of their family events. That’s where you will truly see how much love the kids have for their school. We’ve never had any issues with bullying, so I can’t speak too much on that. We have had an overall beautiful experience with Berkley ES!!Parent Review3mo ago
