Horrible school. Do not send you child here. Teacher don't care about you. The principal is very strict for no reason. It just feels like you are in a prison. Gate teacher dosen't do anything. Way too many fund raisers and you are expected to call people for money. No freedom at all. Push reading too much but not enough math. I remember that I used to be good at math but I couldn't improve that much. Just not allow kids to be kids.One teacher I hated was a teacher who focused me to pack my lunch back if I didn't finish it. She did this because my roots are from a different place. I don't know if she was doing this to me on purpose but it definitely felt like it.

I feel sorry for the children who are still attending this school. If parents have the opportunity, please transfer your children as soon as possible. Most of the teachers are irresponsible. For the few good teachers there, you should leave and find a better school.There is one teacher who keeps the air conditioning extremely cold every day, so the children have to wear jackets and coats in class even during the summer. The teacher is incredibly lazy and seems to want to sit there all day, doing nothing but talking.Transfer your kids out as soon as possible. This is a terrible school with almost no school activities at all.

The staff was unprofessional and ineffective throughout our son’s admission process after we moved from out of state. We repeatedly had to follow up ourselves, as communication was extremely limited and we struggled to get consistent updates on his enrollment status or start date.When he finally began attending, he was placed in the incorrect grade, and we were not informed until later that he would need to be moved to a lower grade. The administration took little accountability, stating they were simply following directions from another department.The school did not proactively contact us until I escalated the issue to the regional office and filed a complaint. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone and I would strongly recommend avoiding this school.

As a parent of a child with ADHD, I have concerns about how emotional and behavioral challenges are handled at this school.Recently, my daughter experienced an emotional outburst in the classroom. While I understand that behavior expectations must be maintained, I was disappointed in how the situation was addressed afterward. When I reached out to discuss support and solutions, I did not feel met with understanding or collaboration. Statements were made suggesting that my child’s behavior was unusually extreme, which felt dismissive rather than supportive.Children with ADHD can struggle with emotional regulation, especially in structured classroom settings. These moments require patience, training, and a plan — not shame or surprise.My hope is that the school will continue improving its approach to supporting neurodivergent students and work more collaboratively with parents to create proactive support systems.Every child deserves understanding and appropriate accommodations in order to succeed.

Experienced and long-tenured, yes, but never static. These teachers bring curiosity and innovation into their classrooms every day, while taking the time to truly know and champion each student. In a city as fast-moving as Las Vegas, finding that kind of dedicated, personal attention felt like striking gold.And the experience extends well beyond the classroom. The athletics and after-school programs gave our daughter space to explore her interests and build confidence, whether she was on the tennis court or in the art room, she always felt like she belonged.But the thing we treasure most? The community. Dawson cultivates something genuinely rare - a place where families, teachers, and staff are all invested in each other. Our daughter didn't just like going to school. She loved it! And that, more than anything, tells you everything you need to know.
