John R Hummel Elementary School

This school is amazing!!! They are so hands on, keep the family informed and engaged, and my child prefers to go to school rather than stay home and that’s a first. Mrs Crosson is the absolute best as well!

Both of my kids go here, and one is going to middle school. They love the staff. They go above and beyond. Kinder was a hard adjustment, and they were always patient and there for my kids. I would highly recommend this school. The principal is amazing. She really does try to make the school feel safe and welcoming, and the kids love her. Best School in the area :)

My daughter is in 3rd grade and it's her second year at Gehring. She is very happy and excited about going to school, especially the GATE (Gift and Talent Education program). The school provided lab top computers to bring home and do projects on. They have Virtual Reality glasses to wear in school to learn about science. In one of my daughter's projects was to draw a fictional character based on the teacher's description through reading and have the kids enter it into a drawing program in the computer to make it "alive". At the end of the project is to have the character print out by a 3-D printer. My daughter is excelling in school, and she is very happy to go to school every day. In addition, the school provided free hot breakfast and lunch every day with a meat and vegetarian choice. I also fell the school is very safe without any bullying incident that I know off. The school has a parent and teacher meeting once a semester to go over the child's progress. They also have a website called infinite campus to see all the test scores, and over all test grades. I feel like they really do care for my child's education and well-being. I would recommend this school whole heartedly.
