Never send your kid here but some of the teachers are really nice just the school counselors are not it. My daughter has tried to defend herself and she got in trouble for defending herself because one of the kids was fighting her and nobody did anything and my daughter tapped her and she started cr

Posted by a parent on 8/9/2025my daughter goes to JT McWiliams she's in 3rd grade and I love her teacher Mrs. Escoto, Mr. Chong is a wonderful principal, he cares about the kids, he is strict but strict to me is a good thing because it teaches kids to be self sufficient, and also to be independent.
Posted by a parent on 4/23/2014My son goes to JT McWilliams. He has been there for 3 years now. The first 2 years were great but this year we were having problems with the teacher and we getting nowhere with the principle. My sons grades went down this year (he is usually a a/b student- this year he is mostly a c/d/f student) My
Posted by a parent on 5/18/2013My three kids attend this school and I really like this school for my kids. The teachers know what they are doing and are great at their jobs. I just wish some of the parents were a little more involved with how their kids are getting along in school. You are doing a wonderful job Principal Cheung.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school needs to start emphasizing on not bullying other kids. It’s the same kids everyday that act like bullies in class or on the playground. Something needs to be done because it feels like they are lazy about bullying. Next will be a call to the school for their lack of taking bullying seriously! All you are doing is enabling it by not doing anything! I only clicked “yes” on recommending this school because my daughter loves her teachers. However, why do the same kids get away with bullying? It’s only going to get worse when they get into middle school. Safety patrol doesn’t seem to be doing anything about it as if the attitude of the school is “kids will be kids”. That’s unacceptable.Parent Review5mo ago - Doris Hancock Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not send your child to this school. From the principal down, they are simply collecting a paycheck. Extremely “liberal” a lot of pink, and rainbows again from the principal down. The teachers are worksheet teachers. The students are fed worksheets and that is it. They have the option for a laptop there is not lesson plan attached. Racism is hidden but very much there. White teachers, Mexican Children w a few black kids mixed in. You have to go to another school to be able to see the shortcomings at Griffith, if your instincts as a mother are not there. I give the school 2 out of 10. The teachers are no good. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI agree with some of these reviews, especially when it comes to the principal. She never smiled and wasn't very kind to her staff. I worked there eight years and met some wonderful staff there. This principal was one of the main reasons why I quit.Other Review5mo ago - Paul E Culley Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnbelievable! I took my child there once and she came back home in tears and scratches across her face! She told me that one of the teachers kept on constantly yelling at her for talking. TALKING! We all have a voice for a reason. Even when she told me that some kid kept on scratching her in the face, she told me that the staff did absolutely NOTHING! HORRIBLE SCHOOL! I would not recommend to take your child there.Parent Review1y ago - Twin Lakes Elementary School
