First time meeting principal because I was called in for a meeting regarding my son who has ADHD and gets overwhelmed. Got to office I asked my son what happened and I told him to the sit up front told him I'm going to talk to the principal I was called in do you want to explain he said no and sat where I told him to sit. At this point whatever when on I could tell he was tapped out. Principal approved me about a min later looked at my son and said you can go sit there pointed towards back of office. He did not respond or say anything with in seconds she's yelling "I'm the adult and this is the problem" he got upset said this is why I hate this school and went to the back chair. I addressed her and let her know this was alarming and came off more then wrong as we proceed to the conference room....There remarks are made as to his behavior I reminded her this is part of the IEP and what we're working on with a school setting, her remark was well it's the third day so we can nip this now. (Reactions behavior symptoms from ADHD don't go away because he's a yr older) she made comments that everyday there were issues yet the two days prior my son came home telling me he received good coins in class and was beyond excited to start a new yr.I told her my son does not have these problems at home like this and he does well with one on one, she agreed as she saw that from the previous yr, but admitted they don't have them resources, I asked if they can't handle my son should I homeschool her remake was "I can't tell you you should or shouldn't..."All I know is the interactions I witnessed, the principal was explosive. I don't believe as an 8 yr old with a social disability I would not have wanted to be in this environment either. My son is beyond upset and they mad more then one comment to lead me to believe he's been labeled from previous yr and they have no desire to work with his IEP or try to understand where he's at emotionally in rough moments throughout the day.An 8 yr who was excited to be at school and a mom that now feels josh stevens obviously is not capable because they don't have the resources nor the time to deal with my son as more or less was stated and it showed when I saw how she interacted Infront of me. If this is how it was first meeting me with me present how was it when I was not there earlier.

To concerned about that students color of their jackets and shirts. Would rather their students walk around without a jacket in the fall because it’s not the right jacket no matter if it’s a letterman jacket. They need to work on coming with a solution instead of just stating their issue. Don’t address things that with a child that should be addressed with their parent.
