Read what parents are saying about Health Leadership High SchoolThey do not communicate at all. You wont qualify for an IEP if you even appear to have a good reading level I guess. They are severely understaffed as well so do not even apply since they dont seem to know what they're doing.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was a great school and thought your opinion (as a parent) was important when it came to your child’s academic future but our opinion does not matter to the principal, Mr. March, who cares less. Because he has the authority, he refuses to take in consideration your child’s personal needs. He refuses to meet with you(parent) even upon requesting an appointment with him. Our children have delt with substitutes since last year (pre-k), at least 6 substitutes, which affects our children academic progress. This year (k) they are dealing with the same thing, 30 kids for I substitute and an EA. They have to stop lecturing to deal with other children not following instructions. These girls and us(parents) have had a lot of patience. Our 2 kindergartens have been through all this together and have been supporting each other since nice Pre-K, now they are separated and the principal refuses to even meet with us (parents) to discuss this situation. He is not profesional and has attitude and also intimidates you and of course because “ he made his decision, he is going to move forward” his own words. Even APS says he has the last word on this. I am now looking for a different school for our children. We are not comfortable with our children being around this principal who shows no compassion and consideration for our children needs. With a new principal this school would be a better place to enroll your children.Parent Review6y ago - Kirkland Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you want to send your child to a school where they will get bullied, then this is the school for you. The principal ignores your phone calls and emails and reroutes them to the dean (who seemed to be the only person that actually cared about my student at the school). The teachers get away with making inappropriate comments towards students, including telling the entire class about my daughters past prior to being adopted(without her permission), and the school claims to be "non punitive" in order to excuse the bully's behavior. She was made fun of for her appearance, for having two moms, for having short hair, for being adopted the list goes on and on. There is zero accountability, and my student was choked by another student in which I was not notified of. She came home crying almost every day and was told that people were mean because it was her fault. We moved here from another state where she was excelling in school, her grades dropped severely the first grading period here, she was told she was ahead of all the other children, but her grades did not reflect that. When we asked for homework to work on the subjects she was struggling with the teacher told my student "That homework was stupid and that her mom's wouldn't be able to teacher her the work anyways" If I could give this school -5 stars I would.Parent Review1y ago - Whittier Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has made a huge turnaround since the last comment was posted. In the last few years a new principal has come in that is extremely data focused. I see her message replicated in the teachers now. Students are making huge improvements in academics. Genius Hour is the most fun my child has ever had and she enjoys picking her new classes every few months. The teachers all seem very qualified or almost over qualified for their jobs. The school just has such a creative, caring and welcoming staff. I am super sad we will start online because I have been looking forward to seeing them all and enjoying the wonderful opportunities afforded to my child.Parent Review3y ago - Presbyterian Ear Institute

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has a strong academic program. Our daughter just graduated from St. Charles and is well prepared for her several honors classes she will be taking at her high school next year. The middle school teachers not only prepared my daughter academically, but helped her grow in her faith.Parent Review1y ago - Presbyterian Ear Institute Oral School
