Read what parents are saying about Samuel S. Yellin Elementary SchoolThe teachers and administrators are accessible and great to talk to. They put forth their best effort in all areas to do a great job with the children. If there is a challenge, it is easy to speak with someone who really cares and work through a problem

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish I could rate this school lower. Most teachers are great, but the rest is downhill from there. To start, kids have tablets- um excuse me? Do they even teach kids how to write their name anymore?! What happened to good old paper and pencil to work problems out? Communication is terrible, knowing what assignments are due- terrible, how to get to said assignments- terrible! Don't get me started about bullying- umm you need to fill out paperwork? You guessed it- in the form, on the computer because they don't want an email or a call to the school. IEP or 504, nope, you have to jump through hoops to even get the BARE MINIMUM. Im sorry, but we have delt with Park on and off for 3/4 years and it seems to be nothing but a headache. I really dont know how it got so many stars on the reviews.Parent Review6y ago - Parkview Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is NOT diverse, very old fashion, and not tuned with today's world. No Asian teachers, one Black teacher, No Spanish teachers. Mainly all white staff. When I had an issue they spoke to me rude and condescending because I'm Spanish. I would do research before moving to this town. My kid hates this school and it's sad because he is only in Kindergarten. He really miss his old school he cries every morning to go back to his old school. My kid also love giving hugs and he was told to keep his hands to himself because Covid. He came home so sad he really lost his excitement for school.Parent Review1y ago - Chews Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was in this school till i was in this till second grade and it was terrible! I was reading some reviews saying how good it is but trust me i was there and it wasn't trust me. Lets start with the teachers, they don't care for their students, my second grade teacher was just straight up rude I mean like come on! She would let her problems out on us and yell at us even when we did nothing wrong and my first grade teacher didn't really speak English!! AT this point the hire anybody who says the have a degree. Only my kindergarten teacher truly cared for her students. The food is horrible, I found a bone in my chicken sandwich and it was still frozen. Now about the students, they don't learn anything there i mean lets be honest i learned my times table when i was in the third grade your suppose to lean it when you'r in first. Please do not send your children here I beg youOther Review1y ago - Laurel Springs Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy two boys went though laurel Springs and were fortunate to have great teachers and overachieving classmates. Their wonderful experiences followed them through middle and high school. My older boy graduated with top honors from Johns Hopkins and my younger son went to TCNJ, one of the top public schools in our state. Thanks to the school that helped them so well to become successful adults.Parent Review6y ago - Magnolia Elementary School
