This is a great achievement and only 6 elementary schools have received this honor in NJ. You can google and see yourself. It is the best. Great schools rating is way off - please correct this school’s rating.
Posted by a parent on 7/14/2023My kids' home away from home. I will be very sad when my daughter has her final day this June as she marches off to Middle School. My son has Type 1 diabetes and a learning disability and his care is top notch. Love this place
Posted by a parent on 1/30/2015I have had 2 children attend Stony Brook. They both have had great experiences. I especially loved the 5th grade teachers. They prepared them for middle school both academically and socially.
Posted by a parent on 1/29/2015Excellent school. My son is in the language based special education class but is mainstreamed for specials. He loves the school. Great teachers and staff. Principal is wonderful. School community is diverse which I love.
Posted by a parent on 11/12/2014One of the main reasons we moved to Hopewell Twp. was the quality of the HVRSD. We're absolutely thrilled with Stony Brook Elementary. They have a VERY involved faculty, and Mr. Wilfing is a caring, attentive and responsive principal.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePeople move to this community for our schools. The rate for this school is 100% inaccurate. It’s a charming school, with engaging teachers. A very safe and quaint, walkable town. Everyone knows each other. Each of our 4 elementary schools feed into 1 middle school then 1 high school. We have 4 children and never plan to live anywhere. If you’ve seen the astronomical housing cost growth, it seems others are eager to move here.Parent Review8mo ago - Benjamin Franklin Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school with a lot of focus on STEM education. Teachers and staff are very friendly and ensure optimum teacher to student ratio. Character building and kindness are two strong pillars of this school and kids are rewarded for being kind and nice with fellow students. PTO is very active and plays a great part in community engagement. It’s a very happy place.Parent Review9mo ago - Lawrenceville Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLES is the best! Both of my children are currently attending as first and third graders and have been attending since PreK. I love the focus on social emotional learning too. The teachers are amazing. The only thing I wish is that it went to 5th grade so my kids could stay longer.Parent Review2y ago - St Ann Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI pulled my four-year-old son from the Pre-4 class at St. Ann's and know others who have pulled their children from the school, as well. My son was belittled, at *four years old* for not being able to read and write yet. He spent his time in pre-school doing worksheets instead of playing. He began telling me he did not want to go back to school, and it is no wonder. The teacher was incredibly rude and condescending to my son's grandmother, criticizing my son *in front of him.* After pulling my son from the school, all of my requests to meet with the principal were ignored. St. Ann's also kept the remainder of my tuition for the rest of the year, despite the fact that I was forced to pull him from the school because of their teacher. Do not send your preschooler to this school!!Parent Review6y ago - Princeton Junior School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children attended PJS and my family had an excellent experience there. Neither of my children was comfortable speaking in front of a group when they arrived at PJS. The emphasis on public speaking and presentation throughout the program proved to be very valuable and set my children up to be confident students who are comfortable sharing and defending their work throughout and beyond their academic years. There were many community events during the school year, and my wife and I made some of our best friends there. I was always struck by the happy and warm environment.Parent Review8mo ago
