Read what parents are saying about Oak Knoll Elementary SchoolMy kids have had awesome teachers. The staff is supportive, understanding, and welcoming. I have found that even with all the teachers have to face they have time to individualize and differentiate in order to meet individual students needs. My son feels safe and never complains about school.
Posted by a parent on 3/9/2015The teachers and principal of this school are caring and professional. I am very pleased that my son attends this school.
Posted by a parent on 8/29/2014This school has an excellent principal who makes everyone welcome. I was a little apprehensive at first due to the immense size of the school itself, and the student body. over 600 kids and it only goes up to fourth grade! The staff is excellent and there is more than enough of them to handle individual student needs. My daughter started kindergarten here this year and we are very happy so far, especially her!
Posted by a parent on 9/26/2013When we moved back to NJ we searched for good schools first. Our 3 kids have received an excellent education at Oak Knoll. The teachers and staff do a great job. Luckily our kids earn good grades and have no discipline issues. The recent rebuilding is excellent. As far as class sizes being too big, I agree but that is more a function of Williamstown housing growing faster than its infrastructure. The only way to correct it is build more schools (higher taxes) or stop building. It would be a huge plus if full day kindergarten was offered. It has been in the works for at least the last 4 years. It is state mandated but it has never happened. Overall we are very satisfied with the quality of the education our kids received, with the staff, and the administration.
Posted by a parent on 12/2/2010Nice school in genera, but if you need a meeting with the child study team watch out their rude and dont introduce them selves. The teacher looked scarred the appointment was at 1: 30 and they tell me we have to hurry because the teacher has to be back to class in 25 minutes when I told them my daughters therapies was coming they looked bothered thank god he did or I would of walked out of their with no help for her, like many parents do. They were very rude and should be ashamed .

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible school. This school used the pandemic to totally lock parents out. It’s nearly impossible to be proactive about your childs academics here. The culture is bad. They let my 9 year old make decisions that I feel should be made by parents. I begged for any material or info that I can use to Tudor my child. I dint really have a good idea about what he even does there all day.Other Review4mo ago - Radix Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school. Fantastic teachers. Teachers with passion, competent, individual approach to each student. They are friendly, patient and understanding. Children with poor knowledge of the English language have good care and a great teacher. They catch up very quickly. Perfect school, great teachers!Parent Review3y ago - Winslow Township School No. 3 Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely awful. It starts with the unprofessional leaders the principle and the assistant principle. They do not return phone calls or emails. In order to get a response from them regarding bullying, which they have a 0 tolerance for bullying, I had to call several times send several emails then go up to the school to finally get a response. When you ask them a question their response is always they do not know or they have a procedure in place but they do not know why they have not followed their own procedure. When I questioned the assistant principle about an incident she began to lie and change her story several times as I began to ask more questions. 'The assistants in the front office are extremely rude and unpleasant to speak to and their unprofessional behavior is allowed by their leaders. My child's teacher was extremely unprofessional as well. She had multiple facial piercings and was allowed to teach with these, and the school is more concerned with the children not wearing a shirt with a hood. She never sent home any classwork or test and when asked she took weeks to provide the information to me to have access. She called me at 9:30pm once I reached out to her to go over my child's progress and proceeded to discuss my child's clothing and physical appearance. The curriculum is also behind and not the proper grade level teaching. This school was great when my younger sister attended but it has truly gone downhill.Parent Review9mo ago - St Mary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt Mary School is a wonder. In a world of extremely liberal teaching, St Mary sticks to core values, education. Teaching kids right from wrong, about God's work and how to become a great and well educated teenager by the time they graduate. I wouldn't send my child to any other school. The teachers care for the students, and St Mary's is small but with a bevy of extracurricular events that wouldn't happen if it weren't for the teachers staying later and providing these services. Intramural sports for the younger kids to challenging sports programs for the older ones are available. St Mary's is like a family my family is part of! They also teach cursive!Parent Review2mo ago - Victory Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended and graduated from this school, I would liken it to a totalitarian regime reminiscent of North Korea. After I graduated, I personally had an apology from the principal for what he was forced to discipline the children. My parents have since apologized for the ultra strict, micro managing staff with a we are right and every other faith is wrong attitude. Education was always second and upon entering college I was grossly underprepared in math and English. Years later I hear why the school has closed and the allegations made against the administrators and I am not surprised. Investigate it for yourself. Start with the prosecutors office according to rumors.Parent Review9y ago
