Read what parents are saying about Lawrence High SchoolI have two students at LHS this year. Both are not just surviving high school, they are thriving! Every educator they have had treat the whole student and work with them to help them succeed. One son has an IEP and his case manager is amazing. One of the most dedicated, caring individuals. They are both also very active and engage in several sports and clubs
Posted by a parent on 11/13/2023Ok, first, I went to and graduated from LHS, but now my children go there, so I know that many things have changed in 17 years, so I will focus on my own children’s current experience at LHS. I guest the best review is that my children attended LMS & LHS last year and this year (still virtually) and will be switching to a private school in the Fall (at least one that I can afford, not the $$$$$ Lawrenceville School), so we still making a relatively fair comparison. The bottom line is that in my own experience, suburban public schools in NJ are better than many other areas. LHS is a typical generic NJ suburban school, not on par with west Windsor or north Brunswick - both districts where my friends kids go. So the overall review is neutral. I’m moving my kids because the private school is in session and this virtual learning is not up to par. I’m luck that my two children are good students regardless, but they are not getting the education they could or should.
Posted by a community member on 4/24/2021Hopewell Valley, Princeton and WWP are all hybrid models, why is Lawrence still locking away its students? What am I paying taxes for in this district if the people running the show can't get their act together? Much is being lost in this process while the district is focused on other distractions. Every board meeting I attend there is a focus on the politics du jour of the day and little discussion about how the remote schedules are harming parents and students. Nov 30th for High School return are we serious Lawrence Twp?

Posted by a parent on 6/28/2020LHS has been a great school for my students. They have developed leadership skills and learned and grown during their time here. The school offers many AP classes, many arts and music opportunities and many extra-curricular groups.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school with a lot of focus on STEM education. Teachers and staff are very friendly and ensure optimum teacher to student ratio. Character building and kindness are two strong pillars of this school and kids are rewarded for being kind and nice with fellow students. PTO is very active and plays a great part in community engagement. It’s a very happy place.Parent Review9mo ago - Lawrenceville Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLES is the best! Both of my children are currently attending as first and third graders and have been attending since PreK. I love the focus on social emotional learning too. The teachers are amazing. The only thing I wish is that it went to 5th grade so my kids could stay longer.Parent Review2y ago - Little Friends

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll the reviews are TRUE from what you read on the internet. "Small school" "small classes" "qualified teachers" but don't let that fool you. I pulled my child out of this school because they were EXTREMELY understaffed according to NJ school guideline ratio, classes were small not by choice. The teachers are wonderful but lack in teacher AID support. The owner is so "money hungry", she/he is willing to put the kids in danger to make a few extra bucks instead of hiring QUALIFIED and ABLE teachers . In the course of 5 months, there was a NEW teachers aid EVERY week. Exposing my child to a new teacher which was NOT ok by me. At this young age, I believe I CONSISTANCY and ORDER will best benefit my child, They have a "CODE" to get into to the school but NEVER change the code. As a previous management professional, we were REQUIRED to change the "code" after dismissal of new staff and on a regular basis. (A protocol this school never abided by). When I enrolled my child to a different school, I saw a complete difference in his attitude toward school. He LEARNED more and was moreEXCITED about going to school. He wasn't just BABYSAT but actually LEARNING because he had the one on one supervision vs the teachers "surviving" their shift. Please do your research before enrolling your precious kid into this this schools. There is a "mom" of a kid named C...., she is now a teachers aid. .....STEER AWAY!Parent Review8y ago - St Ann Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI pulled my four-year-old son from the Pre-4 class at St. Ann's and know others who have pulled their children from the school, as well. My son was belittled, at *four years old* for not being able to read and write yet. He spent his time in pre-school doing worksheets instead of playing. He began telling me he did not want to go back to school, and it is no wonder. The teacher was incredibly rude and condescending to my son's grandmother, criticizing my son *in front of him.* After pulling my son from the school, all of my requests to meet with the principal were ignored. St. Ann's also kept the remainder of my tuition for the rest of the year, despite the fact that I was forced to pull him from the school because of their teacher. Do not send your preschooler to this school!!Parent Review6y ago
