Thomas Sharp Elementary School

My daughter goes to this school and she has learned so much this year. Her teacher does a lot of extra family engagement and my child loves going to school. We love this school and they also have the best principal in Camden. It is inclusive, welcoming and I am so glad she is here.

We recently moved to Collingswood and became part of the Zane Family. Our 5 year old started Kindergarten and is excelling! When I say "excelling" I mean that we were concerned about moving to a completely new town and how it would affect our five year old. Our worries, have disappeared after he has repeatedly told us how much he loves his new school and by our own observations. Collingswood is a community and Zane is no exception. I know I'm starting to sound like an advertisement, but my wife and I were really worried.

Oaklyn School is like a family the teachers are the best, caring, kind, amazing at what they teach! There are younger siblings to the older Jr. High students which helps so much making sure they pick them up after school and it really helps with a sense of security. It is a unique school pre-K up to 9th grade and the students who graduate come back to visit saying I wish I was back here I just had the best education and teachers! The Oaklyn school has many programs which are so helpful the PTA helps students with assemblies and helps out teachers with the angel project and buying extra supplies with a teacher grant program. It is very important to join the PTA who are parents themselves who give of their time to help studetns and teachers have a wonderful school environment. We do annual things at our school that kids look forward to every year and they become traditions! The administration knows exactly what they are doing and is fair to all! To put down the principal as one other did is appauling she does an outstanding job at every angle, she can't have people walking all over her they need to know she is educated and knows what's best for students and parents! I would highly recommend Oaklyn Public School it is a family friendly kind place for your child to have a wonderful enriching education!
