NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is currently enrolled at North Cliff and my son attended a few years ago before moving up to Upper School. I only have great things to say about this school. It provides a safe, nurturing and caring environment for students, and the teachers, administrators and staff are all excellent and extremely dedicated. Class sizes are small (12 in my daughter's class) and it truly feels like an upscale private school in terms of the individualized attention and quality of the education provided. There is a concerted effort to actively engage parents and caretakers, who are invited to visit and do interactive activities with the students. Last winter I made ginger-bread houses with my daughter's Frist Grade class and earlier this year I met with the class to share our experience and pictures from a family trip to Africa. The teachers were so kind and the children were very well behaved and filled with endless curiosity. I will also note that it is not a high-pressure environment and students are allowed to learn at their own pace, while maintaining the highest academic standards. This is truly one of the best public schools in the county (and perhaps also in the State) and I feel blessed that my children have had the privilege to attend. Keep up the good work!Parent Review3y ago7 Reviews - School No. 3

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDE stands out for its academic program & diverse community. The academic program, particularly math, is very strong, ranging from strong college prep to multiple levels beyond AP Calc BC. But the diverse community is probably the school's strongest asset; families from towns & cities all over NJ and of course NYC. The diversity of the student body makes it feel so much richer than a typical private school. Two of our kids went through the middle school and were particularly well prepared for upper school. The MS focuses heavily not only on academic skills, but study skills, resiliency, and social skills. Our child who started DE in upper school was a top student from a very strong local public school but appeared less prepared for 9th grade; but she ultimately flourished and went on to an Ivy league school. The students coming out of DE also consistently seem to outperform similar students from neighboring schools in college admissions. DE is definitely a school on the rise again.Parent Review1mo ago16 Reviews - The Elisabeth Morrow School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter spent the past nine years at EMS and it was a transformative experience not only from an academic perspective, but also from a whole child basis. EMS is akin to your local, community bank where you have access to the key decision makers, driven by a desire to form meaningful, lasting relationships. The staff, faculty and administration at EMS are, in the aggregate, second to none. The focus on the four Cs and social emotional well-being of the whole child at early ages, and throughout, is very beneficial. Dr. Beck has instilled a terrific culture as the Head of School at EMS, continually striving to improve while keeping all of the things that work and make the school special. The musical program is truly remarkable and provides countless benefits to the children, socially and academically. The teachers know the students extremely well, make themselves available and let the students know that mistakes, risk taking and asking questions are not shunned upon but encouraged. Dr. Silverstein is a phenomenal secondary school coordinator and Head of Morrow House; you can’t find a better asset for your family. So much support and guidance is provided throughout the secondary school placement process. EMS also treats the graduating 8th graders as if they are seniors heading off to college in terms of the year-end recognition and accolades. The relationships our entire family has forged w/ the EMS community are truly special and unique. We are so grateful our daughter has spent most of her academic years at EMS, as it is truly a wonderful school with exceptional personnel that we will miss dearly!Parent Review2mo ago42 Reviews
