Read what parents are saying about Donald A QuarlesThe experience I had with my kid was awesome! Her teachers were great, she loved it. They provide the kids with tablets for remote learning, there's small classes so they get individual attention and each class got 2 teachers plus teacher assistants. Kindergarten focused on teaching them how to read, write, and early math. But they also taught them art, music, and science. The principal also did a reading Instagram for the kids once a week and the school provided the tablets and wifi hotspots for kids that needed them.
Posted by a parent on 10/2/2021It hasn't been a full month of school and since the first day I met my sons kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Borowski I felt extremely confident and comfortable for what's in store for my son this school year!!! The staff as well is friendly and very helpful and I know I made the right choice for my son!

Posted by a community member on 11/13/2013My 4 year old recently started the preschool program to receive language therapy. The process to start him in the program took awhile , but I soon discovered that it was because they designed an entire program around my son. This included sending him to several specialists, all paid for by the town. The whole day (8AM - 2:15PM) is designed around him. It seems like his teacher and staff have known him forever. His teacher, Ms. Yolanda is phenomenal! So sweet, and great with my son. There are many caring assistants in his small class and they all know exactly what they're doing. He transitioned easily and loves school. He came from the Lindgren school where children are physical, find joy in learning, discover nature and get messy a lot. The same wonderful philosophy applies here, just with more structure - which children with these needs improve with. Anyone with a child with language and/or occupational therapy needs knows that insurance wont cover these services, and it's very expensive. What a wonderful service this school provides! Although hesitant to go this route at first I am thrilled by this school and the results achieved in such a short time.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is a huge new gym and auditorium. The principal is amazing and inspirational. My son has learned so much in his years at Hoover. I would highly recommend this school. The PTA is very involved and has put together some great programming for the kids. I think it is the best run school in Bergenfield.Parent Review2y ago - North Cliff Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is currently enrolled at North Cliff and my son attended a few years ago before moving up to Upper School. I only have great things to say about this school. It provides a safe, nurturing and caring environment for students, and the teachers, administrators and staff are all excellent and extremely dedicated. Class sizes are small (12 in my daughter's class) and it truly feels like an upscale private school in terms of the individualized attention and quality of the education provided. There is a concerted effort to actively engage parents and caretakers, who are invited to visit and do interactive activities with the students. Last winter I made ginger-bread houses with my daughter's Frist Grade class and earlier this year I met with the class to share our experience and pictures from a family trip to Africa. The teachers were so kind and the children were very well behaved and filled with endless curiosity. I will also note that it is not a high-pressure environment and students are allowed to learn at their own pace, while maintaining the highest academic standards. This is truly one of the best public schools in the county (and perhaps also in the State) and I feel blessed that my children have had the privilege to attend. Keep up the good work!Parent Review11mo ago - Wilbert F Mays Seventh-Day Adventist School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe most elitist academy ever, if you are not a stay home mom from Alpine with lots of money and time to donate you become a 2nd class parent. I saw some parents being kicked out of the school on Halloween by the school principal because they didn’t volunteer or donated money for the event.Parent Review5mo ago - Dwight-Englewood School
