Posted by a parent on 10/8/2017Be aware it's half day K. Very hard and expensive for working mom. Ymca after and before care cost $$. Teachers are nice and helpful.

They offer extra help clubs after school for an hour to help with reading, writing, etc. My son's first grade teacher was great. The principal always informed the parents about upcoming events. Looking forward to meeting more teachers and spending the next 4 yrs at Washington.

My son's education took giant leaps forward compared to their progress in the public schools - the curriculum and staff are outstanding, and the leadership is phenomenal. From the first day we were treated like family by everyone at St. Matthews. I never had to worry about safety, security, or teaching - the teachers are all engaged, and smaller classroom size means every student gets personal attention. The level of communication between the staff and parents is great and you are always treated as if you are a true partner with the school. My favorite part is how well thought out the curriculum is on each grade level. In a world where the curriculum has been completely watered down in the American education system, the students at TCS are still taught meaningful subjects that are backed by truth and science.
