Ecole T Loverture School

DO NOT ENROLL your child here, my child is special Ed and been going here for about 3 years the issues started small. Next thing you know the staff started to mistreat my child. When confronted about certain incidents the principal doesn’t say anything, he jumps to his staff’s defense! The East Orange board of ed as well. I noticed they all cover & look out for each other and not the children.You can bring them proof black and white and still nothing. I have pending complaints against the principal & staff at this time there’s pending investigations with the board of ed. I even did a consult with an attorney due to this. I had a personal conference with the school about concerns and one of them went and told the teacher the complaint was about & she confronted my daughter during music class, embarrassed and totally had her intimidated. When I went to the school to ask why this happened principal Jacob said nothing and put me out the office. Long story short skip this school!!!!! THANK ME LATER!!

I used to be a student here and it is awful. The teachers here are very rude. Leadership in the school is poor. The quality of this building is unstable. The children here are not nice at all. I used to have a classmate that was my friend. He was constantly bullied. The teachers did nothing about it when it happened. I'm disappointed in the school and the staff. He had to change schools because of this. The condition of the school, the walls are cracked/broken. The ceilings are damaged and there are a lot of creaky floors. If you are looking for a school right for your children, this is for sure not the one.

This school is not a vessel for learning. Testing, and no teaching is all I see. Above all, the aggression that is allowed amongst the students is sinful. It's an elementary school, not a gangland!

As a parent of two children in this school I am highly disappointed in the school operations. I feel like I have to teach my kids what the teacher is supposed to be doing. This school is very money hungry with nothing to show for it. My kids have been going there for two years and I am purposely moving out of East Orange so they can go to a better school and get a FULL education. I think the teachers (that i have come in contact with) are under qualified to teach. I would not recommend this school for ANY CHILD.
