The PTA is very involved and there are plenty of family opportunities. Every spring they do a Strawberry Festival which is a pop up carnival in the big field out back. I wish there was more racial diversity across teachers and staff but they do a good job on introducing holidays that aren’t only based in Christianity. We are very happy with our experiences! The school is the model school for the PBSIS (Positive Behavior Support in Schools) which is a collaboration between the New Jersey Department of Education Office of Special Education and The Boggs Center, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The teachers are organized, responsive and believe in the importance of the parent/teacher collaboration and from kindergarten support a life-long love of learning. The parent teacher organization is active and supports numerous field trips/assemblies for the students.
