Adams Elementary School

My child goes to school everyday, EXCITED! She comes home and tells me all that she's learned, and the activities they do to learn. This school offers a before and after school program that can assist your child in areas that they may need more support in - which has also been extremely helpful! The Principle and his staff communicate timely and effectively about drills, unexpected evacuations, upcoming events and important dates. I can tell the staff cares about the kids education, as well as making the environment a fun place to learn!

A new Principal started at Boyd last school year and Mrs. Station has been great. She had a lot to clean up after the last Principal. She's dedicated, honest, and works hard to give the children a well-rounded education. Mrs. Station wants to improve test scores and build a positive bridge between the staff, students, and their families to get every student to learn, grow, and to reach their unique potential. And to be responsible, happy kids. But that starts at home to teach your children to be self-responsible, and to keep trying to overcome any difficultites or disappointments. No principal is a miracle worker, if the parents or guardian don't follow-through at home with learning, and with consistency and discipline then its an uphill battle at school for the teachers and principal. My kids look forward to going to school and I have been happy with their progress there now. The teachers seem happier and more positively engaged now too.

My son has been at Laura Dodge grades K-5. I am so grateful this is the school he attended. All the staff I have encountered have shown a great deal of care for my child. The principal truly does care about his students. Kudos to this school. I wish we had 6th grade here.

I have a child who has attended Edison for half of a semester in the 22-23 school year. As well as a part of the 23-24 school year, however after the incident that I had with the current principal I will be pulling my child. I have never seen a more vindictive and petty individual that runs a school. I understand her having issues with parents but to have an issue with a child is ridiculous and un-called for. My child may have picked up a few things from this school but beyond that. There are fights between 4th graders and kindergartners, they do not protect the little ones the way that they should. They do not listen to parents, mostly because they don’t have too!! I’m over Edison and can say that I have it all I had!

I personally would put my child in another school.
