Hastings Middle School

I am a 5th grader who is an Alcott student. I been at Alcott for all my life.It is a fabulous school with great teachers, beautiful hallways, and a great principle. Not only they have all of those marvelous things, but your child will love it! They would be absolutely brilliant and will have a bright future. They have great mottoes such as, "Eagle Pride, Deep Inside!" and "Bright Futures Begin At Alcott!". Alcott School has a program called, Manners Matter. We learn how to be great citizens and to be a big help in the community. There are several clubs there, too. Such as Science Club, Future Problem Solvers, Quiz Bowl, Critical Thinking Club, and Invention Convention. I had recently participated in all of the clubs. If I may say, I am well educated. All of my years that I've been at Alcott, (still here today) I had learn a lot. I know that all of my bright futures had just begun at Alcott Elementary School! :) Reviewed by a 5th grader, J.

As a Grandmother, I have nothing but praise for your school. Your teachers exhibited exemplary skills and classroom management. I am a Paraeducator in another elementary school in Nebraska, and wish that every student could have the opportunity to experience the excellence in education that Hawthorne and your teachers provide. Love Love Love this school they treat everybody equally and they are very kind to all the children. The principal makes the school a home away from home for the children. She is A1 when it comes to principles.

My sons school is amazing!! My son is autistic and the teachers are a God send!! Mrs. Amber Shiltz is an angel that saved our son! He is now in a class room and the students are so good to him!! I could not have asked for a better school! The teachers at this school are top knotch and I could not ask for better friends!!

My son attended this school PreK-5th grade. There has been some changes with the Principals in the last few years and now it seems that the leadership is more solid. The school just went through a huge expansion and remodeling project, so everything is up to date. The teachers are great and helpful. There are a lot of opportunities for students to get involved in school activities. Of the 5 elementary buildings in town, this is definitely the best one!

St. Michael's school is great. The best in Hastings. Class sizes are small, all classrooms have smart boards, expectations are clear and consistent, parents are very involved and help out wherever they can. Teachers really care about developing the whole child. Moral development is as important as academic development and this is a critical age (age 5-10) to lay that foundation. I cannot say enough good things about this small gem of a school!
