Read what parents are saying about St. Catherine of Siena Catholic SchoolThe leadership and teachers at St Catherine’s school are dedicated to bringing their students closer to Christ. The school provides a positive Catholic environment that encourages morality and love of the faith. The parents are heavily involved and supportive of the school and the school has grown over the past few years due to the amazing job the principal has done. She literally knows every student (270 and growing) by name and makes each of them feel special and important. As in any school there are a handful of parents that would rather not follow the guidelines/handbook and try to stir up issues when they disagree. However the principal calmly and fairly addresses each issue with patience, kindness, and the best interests of the students and families in mind.A fantastic Catholic education!
Posted by a parent on 4/30/2023We have had the BEST experience here. I have twins on two different levels. My son is gifted and my daughter is an average student. Both needs are met here. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. My kids love going to school everyday. The academic program pleases my picky needs as a former teacher. I feel my kids are getting the best education possible in a small, warm setting.
Posted by a parent on 5/3/2021There is a pervasive problem with bullying. The staff verbally threatened me on the phone "we can keep your children out as long as we want", when I called about several confusing emails sent out to parents related to Covid.

Posted by a parent on 8/2/2020St. Catherine's is an educational gem! The curriculum and educational environment is second to none. Club and sports opportunities provide an extension to this learning environment. Having come to St. Catherine's from the WCPS, we saw first hand the extreme gap in instruction, goals, and successes. Where WCPS was severely lacking in opportunities and a solid core/ base for our child's educational future, St. Catherine's has exceeded all expectations. The teachers and administrative staff are supportive, have clear expectations and provide the right level of academic challenge that will lead to success. Most importantly, our child is happy, rising to the challenges, learning more than ever, and is confident in choices and academics! Excellent experience. Excellent school

I had to remove my daughter from the school after so many poor communication problems with 3 of the teachers and the head principal who seem to only care about her image as the principal rather than the concerns of the students and parents. Based on the horrible advice and several different conversations about my daughter’s tragic experiences I’ve had with the main principal. I realize I was getting nowhere in hopes of A change. My daughter would come home almost every day complaining about how she was being bullied and treated unfairly at that school.Parent Review2mo ago - Heritage Elementary

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was our first year at Forest pines drive elementary. And I can honestly say my daughter has flourished. Everyone from the front office, to her teacher, support staff and even the custodians genuinely care about these children and engage with the parents. I highly recommend if you live in this area that you would be blessed with being able to be zoned for the school.Parent Review11mo ago - North Forest Pines Elementary

In our experience there has been judgement, discrimination and lack of sympathy/empathy. They have a red point green point system. Students with ADHD do not always “hear” when a teacher asks for something to be done. I wish teachers and leadership underwent training on how to support children to succeed with ADHD. From what we have witnessed with that, I can only imagine families with children who have learning disabilities must feel.Parent Review2mo ago - Richland Creek Elementary School
