Read what parents are saying about Pineville ElementaryMy son has been going to Pineville Elem for the past 3 years. He loves it. His teachers have been so knowledgeable, experienced, and kind. The school does a great job of challenging him academically and fostering a sense of community and belonging. You’re always greeted with friendly admin and respectful communication. There is also a feeling that the teachers genuinely enjoy working there which I’ve observed during carpool as teachers give handshakes to kids and address them by their names. It’s an amazing comfort to drop off my child knowing he’s safe and happy!
Posted by a parent on 3/12/2024We have had such a wonderful, positive experience here. Principal French is on the ball, and is a wonderful communicator. Even during the pandemic, the teachers and after school teachers created a safe and loving environment.
Posted by a parent on 7/22/2022I have a kindergartner at Pineville Elementary and could not be more pleased. This is such a sweet school with high quality teachers and caring, supportive staff. My child is growing by leaps and bounds in this environment. The leadership team is incredibly engaged and organized, and there is involvement from community partners as well.
Posted by a parent on 11/13/2020Excellent. The small town community feel and genuine concern for our children's education and well being is palpable. From traditional learning to implementing sensory rooms...the faculty and staff work incredibly hard to get parents involved and be active participants in their child's education.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf it doesn’t feel right then it’s not right. I had a bad feeling about my child’s teacher the day I met her, but since she was “certified “ in ways he needed I thought she was the best fit. The WHOLE year was miserable! I would never get updates on what he was doing all year unless it was an annual meeting for his IEP and then I was just told “it’s fine, he’s fine” never anything helpful or insightful! When I would ask things I would get responses that were short or came across as me being a bother to her. Then came a time when I witnessed for myself the blatant ignoring of my crying child. Then on a second incident I was told of by a volunteer that was so bothered by his mistreatment they reached out to me to inform me of the VERY upsetting neglect of my son — I called for a meeting and all they said was in laments terms is that I was wrong and they did what they needed to do and more or less it was my child that was the problem. If I could rate the teachers individually I would bc there are some AMAZING ones, but unfortunately the office staff has tainted my ratings on this school overall. So do your research, read the comments and if there’s more than one saying the same thing it’s probably true.Parent Review1y ago - Sterling Elementary

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 children at this school and can’t say enough wonderful things about the curriculum and teachers. Lots of 1 on 1 interaction and a close knit parent community. Our teacher is also hands down one of the best teachers in her approach to teaching as well as her emotional connection to the children.Parent Review4mo ago - South Charlotte Baptist Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI find the diversity the best (in the private sector ) in the county. Nevertheless, the tuition continues to in- crease with classroom sizes as large as public schools. The reason for the huge sacrifice for private schooling, (for most of us) is for your child to have a one on one opportunity with the teacher. That WILL NOT happen. It's ridiculous the amount of work given to these students with very little guidance. Most of the responsibility lies with the parents. We pay them to teach. But teachers in private schools aren't paid as they should, just as in the public schools. Therefore, the children suffer. The teachers "want" to be hard core, which is fine to a certain extent. But if you have 15-18+ students in a class, teacher balancing more than 2 jobs to make ends meet, Renweb/CANVAS doesn't work properly, and the grades appear to be Fs because the system doesn't work, etc. You can't afford to walk around like a prison guard with a whip you need to help these children and parents who are making a huge sacrifice and idea of a better choice than what's going on in the public schools.Other Review2mo ago - Sugar Creek Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would definitely recommend this school, my son is in kindergarten, Amazing teachers Ms Wekall and Mrs Ellis. if I ask an update of my son. They patiently listen to all my questions and answers them clearly. My son loves his teachers, if he is sick and when we take a break for school he misses his teachers and classmates so badly.Parent Review2y ago
