Morehead City Primary School

School is old, so you can hear noise from the classroom next door. My experience our 1st year has not been great. There’s been no parent teacher conferences, lack of communication, & doesn’t seem very family oriented. I don’t feel kids are being set up for success at this school. Kids get screamed at by teachers then other teachers laughing about it. I was at lunch visiting my son & the cafeteria was not that loud & they turned the lights out on students to be silent. It’s the only break they get from learning. These are still elementary school children & it’s like they’re treated like middle schoolers.

If I could give zero stars I would. I would never recommend this school to anyone. My child went there for three years, the first two were amazing then he hit fourth grade and it was chaos. From problem students that never got reprimanded to teachers also bullying students. There are teachers there that do not represent any sort of “Christian” values. The principal does not talk to you like an adult and belittles you when you don’t agree with the way her teachers are handling situations, you cannot question her or she just forces you out. This school destroyed my child’s self-esteem and drive to go to school. Would never recommend to anyone.
