This school is amazing for kids nice staff they all helpful with great respect my kids love it . I recommend highly.

As a former teacher and reading teacher specifically, it was disappointing that the teacher who taught the reading portion in my daughter's kindergarten class did not know how to pronounce/teach letter sounds correctly. There were many things that were taught wrong. Then, when she was in 2nd grade, a girl a grade above threatened violence and to "cause blood" to my daughter. I immediately went to the principal and in dealing with both him and the vice principal, got nothing. They didn't return my calls, and did not take this incident seriously at all. This girl rode my daughter's schoolbus and she was afraid to ride the bus. The girl was removed from the bus for 3 days. THREE DAYS for threatening my daughter! Administration is terrible and definitely doesn't take bullying/threats seriously. I promptly removed my daughter from the school and homeschooled her. My younger children will also never attend this school.

We love Sardis because: -We've had 3 excellent, A+ teachers in a row, who all did a great job of pushing my child academically while keeping school FUN. -I have a 2nd grader, and each grade has gotten a little more rigorous. 2nd grade is no joke here! My child is on track to being prepared for 3rd grade standards and tests next year. -I love that the PTA does fund raisers and other activities, because they're working actively toward improving MY child's school experience! I gladly contribute what/when I can. I am so thankful for an active PTA. -I love the way principal is visible and interacting with students many mornings during car line. She has such a kind, calm vibe. -I am ALWAYS kept informed, never in the dark, about school happenings through phone messages and newsletters. -The elective teachers rock! They take their jobs seriously, and come up with some great activities for the kids. -We love our bus driver, who is stern but kind. She tolerates no nonsense and keeps the kids safe. -You would NEVER guess this is a Title I school from walking down the halls. From the beautiful artwork to the happy hum of lots of kids ENJOYING learning - this school is TOP NOTCH!!!!!!

Enthusiastic and hard working teachers. The school is organized with a good sense of community. There is a language immersion program that is excellent.
