Rockfish Elementary

I do not like the school or the head administrator. It is terribly unorganized & the winters are a joke. My son sat in class along with the rest of the children in school with absolutely no heat for several weeks before they decided to turn it on last winter! Teachers and children were in class with big coats, hats, & gloves. Needless to say, he was sick everytime I blinked an eye.

I have had multiple kids at the school, Including an EC student. The first year my kids went it was good. The second year it took a turn. The bullying in the school is awful. You kid get in trouble for defending themself. The school has taught my daughter that teachers and staff don't listen when there bullied or hurt and to take matters into there own hands. but school rules don't help them as they get in trouble. I have had to get my kid in therapy to help my child understand what and why the school acts this way. I have had to pull one of my kids out of the school due to temp. teachers and the treatment my EC child received. I have been to three elementary school in the hope mills areas and this one is by far the worst one. i understand staffing is hard to find, however I believe success starts with the administration and I am shown there no unity at the school, its a bully administration with little minions that follow suit. All the staff that stands up for right and wrong get fired or quit. I don't blame them, I cant watch or join in on abuse. Please don't put children in this school, and 100% keep your EC children away from the school, are special needs children need a voice and not to be viewed as a pay check. The family Engagement is set, the school does have monthly activities or learning lessons to keep parents in the loop for all grades except for EC, we dont get a booth or table during this events. yes, are kids learn different but we should be inculded. I have applied to be a family Ambassador for EC but I was declined. There is so much room for growth between the parents and school but for whatever reason administration rejects change.

This school is amazing. The teachers are amazing the other staff too. There were really no problems when I was there and everything was amazing there were no fights really no bullies . Please send your kids here

My teen started going here after being bullied relentlessly from another faith-based school even after admin involvement. My child has thrived here and is motivated by teachers and peers to work hard and put forth best effort. I am glad this option was available for our family. Easy to communicate with teachers and staff, great mentoring by the teachers and coaches. The students are all held to a high standard and respect is demonstrated by all.

FSCA is one of the best schools I have ever seen. The approach on learning by the educators is superb in that they are patient a willing to work with the students to help them learn in their best way. I wish that I had teachers that cared about me as much as the faculty here. As a parent they are always willing to work with a schedule whether it is for an appointment or what have you. They are also willing to sit down and have a one on one conversation with parents if either the parent or teacher feels that it is needed. I would recommend FSCA to anyone without hesitation. This school has truly been a blessing on our lives.
