Read what parents are saying about Gillespie Park Elementary SchoolThis is a fantastic story of school making a difference in its community. We support the students, teachers, and administration, who strive to better the lives of the students both in school, and in their home life regardless of the difficulties. I urge other leaders in the community to support the programs that have been started including providing uniforms, supporting the reading incentive program, providing athletic equipment, and supplying food for the week end backpack program.
Posted by a community member on 4/28/2014Leadership, both in the Office and in the Classroom, at Gillespie Park Elementary School, is excellent. Students are welcomed and treated as people of unsurpassable worth. It's a combination of both love and high expectations. This school is excellent in every dimension. I encourage everyone to visit, volunteer, contribute in some way.
Posted by a community member on 4/28/2014Gillespie Park is a beautiful school with a heart-caring principal for his teachers, staff and students. Great things are always happening at Gillespie Park. One of many things the principal stresses to his teachers, staff, students, parents and volunteers is that it's all about being able to work together on common goals and to share the success of everyone involved. The staff is always trying to find ways to build self esteem and confidence in all the children. Every child matters. Gillespie Park is a school where the children learn character and integrity, where they are nurtured and encouraged . The school reaches out to hard working families in these tough economic times by providing the Weekend Backpack Program and uniforms for the students, just to name a couple of things. Gillespie Park is all about making every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFoust has a very positive environment and a strong sense of community. My daughter is just now finishing her kindergarten year and has been very happy. The school has seen a major turnover in faculty and staff since most of these other reviews were written. The current principal has been tweaking and revamping since she arrived, and the changes have been for the better. I honestly feel as though every staff member has my child's best interests at heart, and they work to keep each child engaged and growing. The building is an older one, but each classroom has SmartBoard technology and computers.Parent Review7y ago - David D Jones Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI absolutely love this school. I have been a parent of this school for 8 years. My son graduated 5. Th grade there in 2011. And my daughter will this school year. Wiley is a great school, with excellent Administrators, and a wonderful Faculty & staff. Wiley has an open door policy, Ms.Fields is always helpful, caring, and willing to listen to and resolve issues immediately. They always encourage parental involvement and incorporate ways to get parents involved. The teachers are Very Hard Working, caring and nurturing. (made me feel real good for my child to come home and say "my teacher loves me", or when I see that she has written across her notebook "I love Ms. ---" Whom of which is not even her teacher, but another teacher within the school. Needless to say, she feels the love, and I see and feel it when I'm throughout the school as well. I also love Wiley because they've always been very family oriented, very resourceful, offer many things to families(fun, instructional nights, parent store, weekend food backpacks, clothing, toiletries, just to name a few. I could really go on and on about some of the great things about Wiley, but I will stop here; if any doubt or ever just in the area and want to stop by, you will see that Wiley is an excellent school, with an excellent faculty and staff ,enriching the Minds of some excellent students.Parent Review7y ago
