Cathedral Oak Academy

We have been at this school for 3 years and it truly is a great school. Teachers and staff are great and very helpful. They want to see every child succeed. Dr. Brewington and Mr. Breedlove go above and beyond for their staff and students. So happy my daughter is able to attend this school. Also great PTA.

We just moved here Aug 2024, my two boys started kindergarten and 4th grade here and this school is wonderful. The teachers, principal, vice principal and staff are all lovely. It’s not always easy to move away and start again at a new school but LES made the transition feel easy. We are very grateful!

Wonderful School. We switched from Morgan in 3rd grade to be a part of the HAG program which we love. The school has lots of field trips and fun activities throughout the year including student musicals and talent shows. We are sad to hear the HAG program may be moved to Brunson only because we believe Southwest is amazing and my son has learned more in one year here than his last three years combined.

Our son began school here shortly after we moved to Winston-Salem. He has spent fifth and sixth grades in the Upper Elementary classroom. His teachers have consistently created an environment in which our son has thrived, growing academically and socially, and taking responsibility as he grows. His joy is clearly evident, and we just can't say enough good things about this school. Anything, including a Montessori school, is only as good as those who are running it. In our experience, this Montessori school is run extremely well.

Forsyth Country Day School is an amazing school! The teachers are outstanding, and they go out of their way to form positive relationships with their students and their families. The academics are second to none in the area, with a great selection of honors and AP courses-all on campus, which is especially good since I don't like the idea of my children commuting for AP courses. I find FCDS a warm and welcoming place, and I know that my children are valued for who they are--even as they are challenged to do and be their best. I could not be happier with our experience at Forsyth Country Day School and I highly recommend it.

As a current high school senior who joined as a freshman, this school has given me everything. When I first walked into the building for orientation, I was met by student council members, teachers, and admin who greeted me with enthusiasm. Many of them I am still friends with today. I will never forget leaving to go to the bowling alley and everyone congratulating me at the bowling alley after orientation. On the first day, I didn't sit alone. A student council member I met invited me to come sit with his friends at lunch. These people I met have poured themselves into supporting me in my personal life. All of my sports, academics (including late night study help), and spiritual life. The chapels have genuinely brought me closer to Christ and I have a deeper understanding for worship. Shout out to Mr. Wade and Mr. Floyd for leading me to help in service, especially with operation Christmas child every year. Through Calvary, I am prepared for college by Mrs. Eppley's diligent work and I have a firm foundation by each teacher because they consistently incorporate God into lessons. Because of Calvary, I am equipped as head of the student council, captain of the varsity XC, Swim, and Track teams. Calvary has prepared me in my future career and a believer who leads others to Christ

We had two kids at this school over three years. The only good experience we had was with the Kindergarten teachers, presumably because they have TA help. The other teachers all seemed tired, I engaged, and like they had too many kids. After Kindergarten we received zero communications about our kids other than progress reports. If you are looking for a mediocre experience and average tree scores this is for you. It’s not awful, it’s just not great. The Imprints after school program seems over crowded and the teachers yell at the kids. Mine hated Imprints.
