Read what parents are saying about Stuart W. Cramer High SchoolThis school is a disgrace. Do not send your kids here. Half the kids I know had to leave and get homeschooled because it’s so bad. Today they were holding a 16 year old WITH CRUTCHES down arresting him in front of all his fellow students. And when the other students saw it they recorded, because that’s what kids in highschool do right? So why are the kids who recorded being suspended for “bad mouthing” the school. I REPEAT DO NOTT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE. THEY HAVE 0 RESPECT FOR THEIR STUDENTS ESPECIALLY OF COLOR.
Posted by a parent on 10/13/2021I had an alright experience at this school, Better than ashbrook, but this school is new and still ironing things out so I would maybe hold off for a few years before recommending it to anyone. Rules are very lax so if your kid is a troublemaker, don't send them here.

I do NOT recommend this school.Parent Review2y ago - J B Page Primary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son loved being at Page! The PTO is so engaged and cooperative, and the teachers are fantastic. My son learned so much in both K and 1st there, and I can't wait until our daughter starts next year. The community is really engaged having firefighters come, the Dance-a-Thon, and the Reading with Rabbits program. I can't recommend it enough!Parent Review7mo ago - North Belmont Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration and staff do not welcome any kind of feedback or input from parents or students. It is basically their way or the highway. They do not want to be partners in educating children, rather they want to be the sole authority. No compassion or empathy shown, and there seems to be a persistent rudeness when they are talking to parents. Seems more like they are talking down to parents, rather than talking to them. The culture at the school seems pretty toxic. The headmaster sent an email recently to all staff and parents basically telling folks to follow orders or leave. It reminded me of the old joke about "Firings will continue until morale improves". He wrote to go through the proper channels with complaints, however nothing happens when you speak up. They basically tell you that if you don't like it, leave. Pretty disappointed in this school. It feels like they are more concerned with keeping up appearances, rather than actually addressing issues. It looks nice from the outside but that isn't reality. They seem to be missing the forest for the trees when it comes to practicing the teachings of Jesus Christ. They speak about kindness, respect, love, etc., but they do not practice what they preach. I gave the school two stars because the facilities are nice overall. There are significant air quality issues regarding the lower school HVAC system however.Parent Review4mo ago - Gaston Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to NC last year and enrolled our two girls at Gaston Christian (8th and 5th grade). Coming from the West Coast, where the girls were enrolled in private Christian education, we wanted to continue in the same way. My daughters love Gaston Christian, they have made great friends in a very short period, the teachers are amazing, on top of being well educated, and the kids overall are nice and welcoming. The school offers quite a variety of sports, besides the regular options (soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball) they also have tennis, golf, swimming and cheer. Their art curriculum is beyond varied, ranging from choir, band, dance, to theatre, set production and costume production. As a family, we feel like we have hit the jackpot with Gaston Christian school, and while we would like to keep it a secret, because we like the smaller number of students (under 1,000), we cannot help brag about the great school we get to send out girls to.Parent Review1y ago
