Meadowlark Elementary

During our Kindergarten year, the time at this school was great. The teachers were very good and we had no issues. However, in 1st grade my child was diagnosed on the spectrum and needed a 504/IEP to help her through the next coming years at this school. The teacher was awful, giving no support and trying to blame myself as a single parent for my child’s learning difficulties. The special education teacher at the time was extremely belittling and the Principal offered no assistance during the meeting. It was only after I found a Special Needs Advocate and brought these wonderful ladies to the next meeting that the school immediately 180 on their attitude towards myself and my child and offered aide. Yet with the following weeks of disdain towards myself and my kids, I soon withdrew her from the school and moved to a more healthy district where she could get the help she needed without biases.

This is the best school that my son has ever attended! If you have to chance to send your child to this school you really can't ask for anything more!

We are new to the area and my children went to a prestigious private school, so I was nervous initially, but this place is a hidden gem. The school is small and they manage their classrooms really well. The school boundaries have been changed, so there is a better mix of families and commitment from parents. They are big on growing the whole child socially and academically. My daughter loves her new school and how she gets rewarded for doing her best. This is an exceptional school and I couldn't be happier to send my daughter to Whittier! Bravo to the new principal and all the teachers!

Teachers and children and parents witnessed my child getting abused on school grounds by their parent. I was never called. No police were ever called. The principal knew of abuse and withheld counseling from my son. She refused to allow my son to have any additional educational help. Teachers allowed my child to be bullied. They punished my child for reporting and asking for help. Stay far away from this school.

Wow, what can I say? Heritage is an amazing school. I can’t say enough about it. My son attended for 3 years and it was the best educational experience we have had. God is emphasized in every classroom and every subject. The staff and administration were supportive, caring, and professional. I had complete confidence in their ability to educate and guide my child. The kindergarten teacher in particular is phenomenal. I have never met a more sweet and caring person. She takes interest in and cares for each and every child. If you’re looking for the best school in the Gallatin Valley with a Christ-centered focus, look no further! I highly recommend Heritage Christian School.
