Greenbrook Elementary School

There is not ONE single thing I could say positive about this school. Except maybe, the school secretary is very sweet and tries to be as helpful as she can be. The teachers that go above and beyond to help the students, the ones that are passionate about shaping these young peoples mind I thank you! No books are sent home, notifications for events are unless the school somehow profits off it. The principal is an absolute joke. She gets incredibly defensive when all you voice whats best your child! For the older kids, they are going to have a rude awakening when they get to middle school. Many things have happened over the years that have made me even question my Childs health. It all feels pointless when no one helps you even though they want more parents to care. The typical white girl of Southaven seems to be more important.

Elementary school is okay although the curriculum and some methods are outdated, but high school is horrible. The curriculum is traditional and not on the latest research of best practices. Some teachers are willing to help your child, but other teachers and administration are not. If you question anything, you are labeled as the bad guy. If students or an entire class do poorly, they are labeled as not paying attention or doing what they need. Internal reflection never happens as a whole. If you are looking for a school that is "there way or no way," then this school is for you. Sports---good luck--your child's experience will depend on which sport and who you know or what you can contribute as a parent. Kids are teased and assaulted in locker rooms and school/sport/ trips and administration does not care. Spend your dollars elsewhere-where teachers and administration are always willing to have internal reflection to determine what can be done to help EVERY student succeed.

At sacred heart everyone has friends and fits in great and the teachers are very kind the learning is amazing their faith in God is immaculate and they keep you informed about everything and I love everything about sacred heart
