Encompass Academy

As my daughter moves to middle school, I would like to thank the teachers and staff at Cowden Elementary for giving her the skills needed for this next step in her journey. The teachers took the time to build relationships with her that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Dr. Norman for leading your teachers and students. Cowden has instilled leadership skills, and given her the tools to be successful, not only in school, but in life. Thank you for everything. She misses Cowden already.

Not even 1 star you would rate this school.

Don't send your children here the staff, especially the vice principle, secretary, and nurse are horrible people and they are horrible to children

The Summit is a well rounded learning center. My kids have thrived there. They love their teachers and are offered out of the box learning opportunities you can’t get anywhere else. The administration staff is also wonderful. I have felt very supported as a parent. My oldest is in high school and I feel very confident in his future with higher education. His advisor is aware of his goals and helping him reach those goals. I wish more families in the Springfield area knew to check out The Summit as an option for education. It has been the best decision we’ve made.

My son (5) started at Discovery Garden in February 2024, having just turned 4. Up until that point he had been kept at home with only close family caring for him while his dad and I worked. He was very reserved socially, with the confines of COVID having played a big part in this. We were very nervous about putting him out into the world, so to speak. Long story short he absolutely flourished in the Montessori setting. It’s truly remarkable. The teachers and staff are so supportive and communicative. We couldn’t ask for a better school for him.
