Love getting weekly reports on behavior and weekly envelopes on what's going on with the school. The computer lab is awesome! They have a newer gymnasium also. Large library. This place is great!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe reviews on this school are very old. I just wanted to add a current, and positive, one, as I’m surprised by this school’s rating. We love Meadowlane! The teachers are kind and engaged - we see the principal on bus duty greeting the kids every day. There are lots of fun activities and themes, lots of focus on kindness and good citizenship in the curriculum. My son is an energetic boy that struggles to sit still and can be a handful (!) and he is thriving. The atmosphere and focus of this school is warm and welcoming, diverse and wonderful. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe enrolled our deaf/hard-of-hearing son at Voy Spears Elementary mid-year at age 5, unaware of Missouri's delayed enrollment option. The school didn't advise us, which we regret, especially after a cross-country move. We feel the principal should have shared this information.When we requested kindergarten retention, we were dismissed. Now in first grade, excessive special education services isolate our son, unfairly labeling him and hindering inclusion.The PTA feels unwelcoming, and a library incident highlighted unprofessionalism.
