Oak View Elementary is such a great school. The teachers are amazing (some have even been nominated for best teacher!) and the staff is so welcoming. It feels like a real community where everyone knows your kids and looks out for them. The building and classrooms are awesome too. Our kids love going

My kids have loved all the teachers they’ve interacted with and even teachers of other classrooms take the time to get to know the students in other classes. Great community of family and caregivers at Oak View too

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would like to preface that I do not care if you are religious, homosexual, believe in evolution or don’t; none of that matters to me. What does matter to me is inexcusable intolerantly and pure hate. The curriculum itself was complicit in promoting homophobia. Discussions of LGBTQ+ topics were presented in a negative light, reinforcing harmful stereotypes and misconceptions. The lack of education and open dialogue surrounding sexual orientation only served to further marginalize and isolate LGBTQ+ students. It is crucial for educational institutions to provide a safe space for all students, regardless of their sexual orientation, and this school fell drastically short in that regard. I’ve known people of color that went to this school and had similar experiences with their race or ethnicity being targeted. If you’re thinking of sending your children to this school please confirm with them that they wouldn’t mind this.
